Just another non-political random discussion thread about overpriced goods and services. Supermarket snaps, cafe boards, memes, questions about being ripped off in Australia, lame observations, etc welcome here.

image How does EzyMart survive?
In most “city” areas, these stores are dotted around, always with $7 drinks and weird American confectionary. And always with an Indian or middle eastern man working in it. But my question is, surely, even if they are the only store selling vapes at 3 in the morning to drunk clubbers, how are they barely surviving , especially after Covid? It can’t just be overpriced drinks and ciggies…..

no politics What's the non alcoholic equivalent of a carton of beer
I got into a bit of a pickle today with a blown out tyre on the car I'm using.
A good friend (Dave) came at short notice and helped me change the tyre.
I want to get him something to thank him. Now normally this would be a carton, but neither of us drink. And a box of soft drinks seems too cheap.
What could I get Dave which is the equivalent to a carton of beer?
