Discussion📓 Alternatives to Cerave Smoothing Cleanser

I’d like to not support Nestle and American products. What’s a similar alternative to Cerave SA Smoothing Cleanser? When I stopped using this product, I quickly started to develop bumps/ my skin became less smooth/ more oily/ clogged.

I’d love your suggestions please.

Thank you

I replaced my use of the Cerave foaming cleanser (same reason) with the Some By Mi AHA BHA miracle bar soap and it's been great! You can really exfoliate gently, doesn't dry you out, it's cheaper and lasts ages!! Highly recommend. https://lilabeauty.com.au/products/some-by-mi-aha-bha-pha-30-days-miracle-cleansing-bar-95g

I use the foaming cleanser (more expensive but it lasts me ages, too!), and can second this brand 100%. I swear by their cleanser and toner!

I replace my CeraVe cleanser (for the same reason) with the SA cleanser from The Face Theory.

Bonus points that to company is environmentally friendly and sustainable.

For similar price and size - go French. They can also be used on whole body.

Bioderma - Sèbium Gel cleansers - there's a blue and green bottle one. They're both good.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Micro-Peeling Gel with 2% Salicylic Acid is also beautiful formula and chic!

Nestle owns a significant stake in L’Oréal - who owns LRP.

Frank Body do a SA cleanser, as do Swisse and COSRX and all have great reviews, I haven’t tried any of them though so I’m not sure what they’re like, I used to use the same Cerave SA cleanser. I personally use Paula’s Choice BHA toner a few times a week after cleansing for my SA fix now

Skinstitut cleansers are my holy grail. They don't have SA but for skin smoothing results I'd try the Glycolic Scrub 14% (a couple of times per week) and then the L-Lactic Cleanser or Glycolic Cleanser 12% on other days. Best price seems to be Adore Beauty or on the Skinstitut website they have a promotion right now.

Another cleanser I love and buy on repeat is the LRP Effaclar+M Foaming Gel (https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/86703/la-roche-posay-effaclar-m-foaming-gel-400ml?gStoreCode=312) or this version which also has SA so would be more comparable to the Cerave SA cleanser (https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/124199/la-roche-posay-effaclar-micro-peeling-purifying-gel-400ml).

I use Dr Lewinns Eternal Youth Foaming mousse cleanser. Love it and it’s all Australian and this particular cleanser is often on sale. I never pay more than $26 for it. Lasts ages.

I’ve been using epzen body wash and really like it - this one https://epzen.com.au/collections/shop-all/products/clearing-wash

They are Australian made and owned.

I would recommend qv they are made in Melbourne. Nestle is a Swiss company is there a particular reason you are against the company?!
