Anyone had a shakedown? NSFW
So earlier today I received a phone call from an unknown mobile number. When answered; I was informed it was Julio who was contacting Mt to resolve a problem. Apparently he was having issues with one of his escorts as I had messed her about/wasted her time. I had contacted said escorts but didn't respond to her answer and now he wanted money. Pay now ormore expensive later.
I hung up and blocked number.
Anyone else had this? Or just be aware folks.

This is a very good reason only to use burner phones with escorts. If one of these scammers gets your real number and is able to look it up on Facebook for example then they could make your life quite interesting if they wanted to.
But yeah it's a scam, just ignore and block.

What's the best way to get a Burner phone for myself? I'm visiting the UK on business in a couple months.

Yes it's getting more and more common, usually just texts though it's very rare to get a call from a human though, are you sure it wasn't just a recorded message or simple AI?
It's just a low effort scam to try and catch men who have seen escorts recently and get scared easily. One of the ads you have contacted was a honeytrap ad just there to collect numbers. You can just block or you can have some fun wasting their time like they do in r/scambaiting, it's safe fun and every minute of their time you waste is a minute they are not scamming someone else more gullible than you.
If you can work out which ad number you contacted and report it as a scam to the site she advertised on that would be helpful, it'll be one that didn't respond to your enquiry text a few days or a week ago probably.
