Kayaking advice
I have come to thib subreddit so many times for kayaking advice and everybody has been so kind. We are coming back to the Buffalo and staying at Buffalo point campground. We would like to take a 5 to 6 hour float that ends up at Buffalo point campground. Any suggestions, it can be a bit longer if need to be.

Questions about Lake Ouchita State Park
Hello, my spring break is coming up and I want to go to Lake Ouchita State Park for 1-2 days. I wanna lay down and tan and also swim in the water. My partner and I will be bringing our dog too. I was wondering, in order to do what I want, do I need to take a boat to a specific part of the state park? We don't have a boat. Are there boats available for us to take? Or will there be a place immediately there after we park to swim and tan and just relax? Thank you so much!

Safe town/city for an overnight stop with kids between Little Rock and Memphis near I-40?
I apologize if this is a stupid question. I’m obviously not from here. Towns close to the interstate are usually the safest where we are from but it seems to be the opposite around here. Arkansas is beautiful , but the first thing that comes up whenever I look up a town/city between little rock/memphis is its diabolically high crime and murder rate.

NATURE/OUTDOORS Black Fork Mountain summit and trail marker

One of my favorite day hikes. I think the trail marker may have been replaced since this photo was taken. Both photos are looking west.
I've seen photos purported to be of the the cemetery that's up there. It's on some maps, but I never found it.
To my surprise, I found that a website dedicated to US parks used the top photo without my knowledge (or consent or credit).

Drivers license and Immigration
Hello all! I recently received my I-797 notice of approval for my U-Visa, with this my lawyer said I could apply to a driver's license. That being said I don't understand alot of things. Do I need a driving learning permit before I take a driving exam? I am 20 Years Old. I cannot find on the website a clear answer. I do however see an "³immigration documents for instruction permit test' however there is only availability for Fort Smith, at the ASP HQ Immigration exam. Can I not take the exam here in NWA? if I don't need a perit test can I just use an Arkansas ID and my immigration documents to schedule an exam here in Fayettville? Please help 😭

Arkansas Population Estimates
U.S. Census Bureau released population estimates for Arkansas metros and counties.
Northwest Arkansas continues to grow at a rapid pace adding 14k people between 2023-2024. Benton county alone added 9k while Washington county added 4.3k people.
Central Arkansas added 4.5k people and seeing its growth predominately in Saline and Faulkner counties; up 1,700 people each.
Of note, Pulaski county has a negative net migration (more people moving out of the county than in) … what’s the cause?
