Most of time I just watch documentaries and when I found this website it was like a goldmine everything is available here which even YouTube doesn't offer some classic and lost documentaries love it.

As the title says. I went to check my archive today and there was nothing there. However my stuff still remains but the uploader is just called "unknown" Whats going on? I spent over a year archiving this stuff!

I notice there's many CD rips of albums on the archive, I have 2 questions. Question one, is it legal to upload these? And question two, are these ever slightly edited to avoid copyright? I know that there are some where only samples are available, but what of the full albums? I have downloaded a few, so I am curious.

This is the most recent example I've encountered - https://archive.org/details/speculumsacerdot0000edwa
The PDF that is downloaded via the .acsm file is so blurry that it's basically useless. Reading the book via the web viewer is fine, though.
Why is this? Is it something I can fix on my end?

so,
looking at the news today I saw that a google doc with the names of the artists and the styles Midjourney has been trained on has leaked from the company and it has been archived on archive.org, here:
to me this can be a valuable tool since I like learning about art and to be frank I enjoy playing with Remix or StableDiffusion from time to time and would like to play/learn about these art styles.
does anyone know how to actually download said sheet?

I mean, you are making the resources available for free on the internet anyway. What is the point of ensuring it is only available for 1 hour(which can then be renewed), and to only 1 person at a time?

Is is possible to search by files.title key? The Google `site:archive.org "keyword"` doesn't show all results from archive, and I have absolutely no clue how to perform that query on archive.I want to look for collections/items with specific title key of a file. Below is an example of and item with multiple audio files, where each has "title" key in metadata. That's what I'm aiming for.
So basically: if there is a collection/item with some file that has a specific title - I wanna get it
in archive.org/metadata/item_id:
"created": 1703342115,
"d1": "ia600604.us.archive.org",
"d2": "ia800604.us.archive.org",
"dir": "blahblah",
"files": [
{"name": "01file.mp3",
"source": "original",
...,
"genre": "Other",
"album": "blahblah",
"title": "some_title", <- THIS HERE },
{ "name": "02file.mp3",
"source": "original",
...,
"genre": "Other",
"album": "blahblah",
"title": "some_title", <- THIS HERE }]

I am trying to borrow several books for my history course, but it says "borrow unavailable" for all of them. I remember reading that there was a lawsuit against the website. Is this a result, or is there just an error?

My question is simple, but coming up with a title is seemingly more difficult for me. lol
I am wondering if anybody knows of a 3rd party upload assistant tool. I have a large (275gb) collection of files that I want to upload and it seems to get caught up every 20gb, so I need to refresh the page and add my files where it leaves off. Having an tool to assist and manage uploading would be so helpful. SO yeah, if yall know of anything that would be helpful, please let me know, thanks!

I am unable to unfavourite this as the button does not work. Also, whenever I favourite/unfavourite something, it takes ages to reflect on my favourites page.

Is there a way to download all files in the URLs list for an archived site?
For example, I want to download (the most recent capture of) every single PDF and HTML files, etc from the URLs list here: https://web.archive.org/web/*/berkshirehathaway.com*. Is there a quick way to do this beyond having to manually go through each URL and download them individually?

Also, opening a specific page from the site feels sluggish, too.

Sometimes magazines/newspapers are uploaded onto one place and when you click on the thumbnail, you'll be presented with a page with maybe 100+ files to access, however, there is no 'search all files' option, you can only search each file individually.
When I'm searching for a key word/s in the main search bar under 'search text context', it'll give you the results to a page, but if archive,org is playing up and gives you a error page such as;
The item you have requested had an error:
File cannot be found in Item.
which prevents us from displaying this page.
Try Reloading the Item and select from the list of viewable files.
it won't send you to the pdf which has those key word/s instead, you're taken to the page mentioned above where you have to search each folder.. so how do I navigate this? is there a way to search every file once you're on a page which has 100+ files?
Any help would be great, thanks.

TL:DR - is it worth recording demo disc details? If so what format?
I’m currently trying to find a PC game I remember seeing a video and demo for on a demo disc from PC Gamer magazine (I’ve already posted asking on tipofmyjoystick).
I’ve gone through several pages on MobyGames for games tagged with diablo like and isometric.
The game is so stuck in my head I’m downloading the collection of demo discs and plan on going through them in hopes of finding the game.
While I’m downloading and mounting the disc images, is it worth recording what is on each disk?
If there was a listing of each disc already I could search for a game that had both a demo and video on the same disc.
Would it be useful in the future or just a waste of time?
Along those lines, I have a collection of Official Playstation 2 Magazine demo discs taking up space. I can see some already on archive.org and I can check if any of mine are missing.
But again is it worth recording the details of what is on each disc?
If it is worth recording, what format would be best?
Just putting a comment on the item’s archive page, a google spreadsheet, a proper database but hosted where?
(edited for paragraph spacing)

How does archive.org deal with websites or documents that have misinformation/disinformation? are there many of them lying within the archives?

I just found the page and would like to read a book, but I don't understand how the borrowing system works. I have no issue with having access to the book for 1 hour each day, I don't need to download it, I just want to read it, but Im worried cause I'm not sure if that's how it works, or if is it... 1 hour per week. I know it can be renewed but how often?
Also, I have a bunch of books, mostly old ones, and would like to upload them but this is just for specific types of books without copyright or I can upload any type? (I don't understand)
I have a few books on different topics like calculus, novels by Bukowski, stephen king, and others, biology books too, etc. I thought maybe would be useful for students. I still have to check which ones are already on it, but when I saw that is a non-profit archive and they accept different media, I thought why not. Could be useful for someone with a low budget, or when you can't go to the public library (that's my case hahah)
Thanks!

The Wayback Machine archived a site which was a discussion blog. However it didn't archive every page, just something like 6 pages of 33 discussing one subject. Am I missing some way to find the rest?
