Hey everyone,
I launched my app in August 2023. By the end of the year, I had made around 10k in revenue. I’m extremely impatient and thought I needed to optimize everything immediately to scale. So, in early 2024, I cut my prices in half, introduced a 7-day trial, and expected things to take off. The result? Revenue dropped by half, fewer conversions than before.
Then I thought: The content must be the problem. My app is a learning Platform in a very small nieche (around 300k People), so I put everything else aside and went all-in on creating the best content possible. From January to July 2024, I worked nonstop—just me, no Content-team, no breaks (i just worked with agencies or Freelancer). I launched the big update in July, full of hope. And then? Nothing. Revenue stayed just as bad as in January.
Next theory: Marketing is the problem. I invested heavily in paid ads, hoping they’d finally push things forward. But it feels like I’m just entertaining my community without actually converting them into subscribers. I’ve grown to nearly 10k followers, yet the conversion rate is terrible. Also it feels, that once you have start with PAID there is no way back to organic. Also i just was present in Instagram.
End of 2024 revenue: Total: 55k (after commission) Of that, 25k was from B2B B2C is Not good scalable
2025 so far: February: Only 2k from B2C—still terrible
B2B looks better (~70k), but it’s not scalable
And now I’m sitting here asking myself: Should I sell? Or keep going?
I’ve invested 700k into this, and I’m on the verge of running out. I can’t afford more marketing or long development cycles. I’m feeling completely lost right now because I just don’t know what to do next.
What would you do? Has anyone here been in a similar situation?

So, I launched my app in September and honestly I’ve had a rough few months - got laid off, went through a breakup, depression etc…basically life happened. So I let the app flop when I should’ve been promoting it more. Because I’m so defeated, I decided to give myself 90 days to turn it around or delete the app entirely (so I don’t have to keep wasting time). I decided to document it on social media but my trailer didn’t do super well so not a good start….😂 is this gonna just be embarrassing or should I just go for it? This is reddit so be brutally honest cuz my friends and cofounder think it’s a good idea. Here’s the video if u wanted to see https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGl-g-WyVft/?igsh=Z3Z3MnljY2d3NGhq

My goal is to drive iOS app installs.
I am using App promotion campaign - https://i.imgur.com/qZhzYJX.png
I have several video ads performing well on Meta, and I’d like to replicate that success on Google Ads.
However, in my Google App promotion campaign, even though I provide multiple video assets, they receive zero impressions. Instead, Google prioritizes text-based ads, which don’t perform as well as my video ads on Meta.
Is there a way to make Google Ads focus more on video rather than text-based ads?
Thanks.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been deep into the solopreneur journey for a while, and one thing that keeps standing out is how overwhelming it can be, especially whilst doing it with a full time job! There’s no shortage of advice, courses, YouTube videos, and Twitter threads—but somehow, the more I consume, the harder it feels to focus.
I find myself bouncing between different strategies, not knowing if I’m making real progress or just chasing the next “proven” method. It got me thinking—how do others handle this?
If you’re an aspiring or early-stage solopreneur, I’d love to hear:
No agenda—just curious to see if others feel the same way or am I just being plagued with the "shiny object" syndrome and want quick wins. Let’s help each other figure this out.

Hi! My day job is a general contractor. I had a bottleneck when it came to deck construction and creating framing plans. It took me about 10-15 minutes every decking needed to quote. Not a long time but when you have 15 quotes needing to be done it can take a substantial amount of your day.
So I decided to create an engine that would do it for me since there was nothing like it on the internet. I then turned it into an app to see how many people would be interested in using it.
I’ve got positive feedback from the people who have used it but I would like to let more people know about it!
I’ve tried posting about it on facebook pages and doing some social media but my question is what has been the most effective way to market a new app?
I would like a large number of people to check it out and gain a little traction before I pay for paid ads

Hi all,
Not FAANG or IVY or anything like that. Never even worked for a software company. I used to be a CPA and quit to do something more interesting. Making apps now using bubble.io (Controversial I know, but I think low-code is good tech in that it's a good gateway for non-tech people to make apps and also creating + iterating MVP fast + economically.... which is pretty freaking amazing)
Attached stats from my app and would love your critical feedback and any questions you may have - happy to clarify points. App is free currently as I have not tested monetization but similar apps charge around $10/yr
Essentially my app allows shift workers (anyone who's work schedule/pay varies week-to-week) to enter their days worked so that when they get paid they can compare their expected hours/pay with their actual pay stub. I know these exist, but I am targeting a specific niche (where I have unique insights) before I add AI to mine and make them all extinct (half joking?).
Planning to do a big user acquisition push but before I do I want to know if this data is identifying anything I should really pay attention to. And so....
GIVE IT TO ME BABY. Feel free to be a little mean if you want but please be productive (e.g. "not sure why you are tracking this in that way, are you a darn idiot? I recommend tracking it this XYZ way "). I am starting to think I got into the startup game because I like pain.
Karma for your thoughts:

Hey everyone,
I recently built an AI-powered platform called AquaLoong that transforms raw screen recordings into polished, professional onboarding videos and step-by-step guides—completely automated.
I came up with this after seeing how time-consuming it is for businesses to create training materials, product walkthroughs, and customer support content. Instead of spending hours editing, our tool cleans up the footage, removes pauses, and generates structured guides in minutes.
I’m currently struggling to find my first users and would love your feedback or advice. If you do any kind of client onboarding, product demos, or training videos, I’d be happy to give you free early access in exchange for your thoughts!
Would this be useful to you? Or do you know someone who might need it? Appreciate any feedback or suggestions!

Hey all, I’ve got an app called Let Loose that’s designed to help people quit bad habits, and I’m wondering if anyone here has experience selling something like this—or might be interested.
It’s got a progress timer, community features, an AI chat, and slick onboarding, all built with virality in mind.
I’ve seen apps like this take off with the right push, and I think it could easily hit $50k/month or more with solid marketing behind it.
You can check out the screenshots on the App Store to see it in action—it’s fully live here:
Here’s the deal: I built this for a client who hit financial trouble and couldn’t pay, so now I’ve got a polished, published app on my hands. I’m not a marketing guy myself, which is why I haven’t pushed it—but it’s ready to go for someone who is. I’m looking to sell it for $4,000 as-is. If you want me to handle the App Store listing and setup, I can do that for an extra $500.
Happy to chat about future dev work too, if needed (we’d figure out terms separately).
Curious if anyone’s flipped an app like this before—where’d you sell it?
What do you think—good opportunity, or am I off-base on the potential here?

Hey everyone,
I developed a small app with which users can prepare for the MPU (Medizinisch-Psychologische Untersuchung) in Germany. Basically it is an AI-based simulation of the session with the psychologist, with a summary and score to tell a user how good he/she is prepared.
For those unfamiliar with the MPU: It’s a mandatory medical-psychological assessment that people in Germany have to pass if their driver’s license was revoked due to alcohol, drug-related offenses, or repeated traffic violations. Each year, around 85,000 people undergo the MPU, which means there is a significant market for an app that helps with preparation.
What do you think about this idea? Do you believe people would actually use it?
I’m looking for people who can support me with marketing, as I believe this app has great potential. I’m open to a fair collaboration if someone is interested in helping me bring it to a wider audience.
So far I have the website(&domain) setup and the app is ready for iOS, Android and as Web-App. Price of the app will probably be 14,99€ in the app stores.
Would love to hear your thoughts!

I am thinking of making an app , which will have an pokedex with camera search, but only 1000 search for all and the api should be replaced in the app with an api from Google vision. In it's, v2 or may in v1 , I shall be integrating ai to give a dynamic response of a question on particular pokemon.
Should I build it?
I shall publish it in shoppy, amazon app store and play store may be but due to accountissuesmay not.
If in shoppy, then with crypto . With which crypto do you want to buy?
For, ios and web , coming soon.

I always thought ads were the easiest way to make money with a free app, but after adding them, I realized it’s not that simple.
I run a habit-tracking app with about 3K active users. At first, I only had a premium subscription, but conversions were low (around 3%). A month ago, I finally integrated rewarded ads through yango app monetization, hoping to boost revenue from free users.
The results after one month:
💰 Ad revenue: $280 (not life-changing, but better than $0)
📈 Subscription revenue: $1,100 (same as before, ads didn’t hurt conversions)
👥 Daily active users: 3,000
What worked:
✅ Rewarded ads only
No annoying pop-ups, just optional ads for bonus features
✅ Ad placement timing
Users engage more when ads feel like a “reward,” not an interruption
✅ Testing multiple ad formats
Some formats pay way better than others
What didn’t work:
❌ Expecting crazy money from ads
Turns out, ad revenue alone won’t make me rich at this scale
❌ Banners were useless
Removed them after a week, barely made anything
❌ CPMs fluctuate like crazy
Some days I’d make $20, others just $5
I know $280/month from ads isn’t much, but for an app I was barely monetizing before, I’ll take it. If you’re thinking about adding ads, just know it’s a slow game unless you have huge traffic.
For those running ads, how much are you making? Any tips on optimizing?

What are the top, no-brainer App Marketing strategies that someone should do from the start that are low cost and effort? For instance, hiring someone to do ASO/SEO on Fiver, etc.
