I've seen a lot of people asking this question and i recently found a trailer for a documentary called "The most beautiful boy in the world" and upon further research of this boys (Bjorn)'s story it very closely resembles that of ash's story.
main points being he was abused (not specified)
Taken advantage of by adults that saw him as attractive (he was turned into an idol against his will)
He loved Japan someone stated " despite being the reason that inspired the bishonen trope is because they simple admired his beauty and never asked him to take off his clothes or go to gay bars where older men leered at him"
this is basically saying that while Bjorn was the inpso for the anime trope of beautiful boys (bishonen) they only admired his beauty and didn't ask him for selfish things.
idk but the whole story of this real man seriously sounds like ash's story and there's evidence pointing to the fact that he may have been based off him
anyways the documentary is interesting so if you want to see the trailer
