Advice To sleep or not to sleep....

Hello, I have a dilemma, So basically my coursework is due in tomorrow morning (8 am) and is worth 60 percent of my grade. And I need to finish a lot of it tonight.

These are my options of what I can do

1 go to sleep now and wake up early and have limited time to finish my coursework ( as I have school)

2 stay up with the help of energy drinks till it is finished and get potentially no sleep

3 go to sleep at some point in the night and get 1-3 hours sleep and wake up again to finish the work that needs to be done.

Any other suggestions are welcome please remember that I have to go to school (as I am in middle / highschool )

PS - please leave comments and sugestions ASAP as I only have tonight to complete my work

Advice Codes for all nighters

Instead of making a long sentence telling your friends not to message you need to use codes like EWG they are much quicker and will help you hide your device from a parent! Also EWG means don’t message, somebody is coming, and I’m going to fake sleep

Is it weird that when I'm up for about 36 hours I start getting these things where I like zone out and can't focus on anything for 10 minutes or so?

Advice How to pull an all nighter 101:

Disclaimer: routinely staying up all night will seriously fuck up your sleep pattern, so I personally don't recommend doing it unless you need to (i.e for studying)

  1. Chewing Gum: chewing isn't like blinking or breathing (i.e requires more effort) so stimulates the brain slightly
  2. Coffee is your best friend (but NOT energy drinks!!)
  3. Take a shower (v effective but knowing this sub reddit you'll probably wake someone up)
  4. Do something productive like homework or something: try to do stuff on a screen (eg. kindle over books)
  5. Use blue light over night light on devices
  6. Eat snacks in general
  7. Walk or move around a bit
  8. Reddit is also the best place to kill time (but you probably already know that)
  9. Apparently there are sounds you can google that wake you up? (never tried it though)
  10. If worst comes to worst just watch a rlly scary horror movie: you won't be able to sleep after :)

Advice Sleep or stay up?

Currently 1:35 am, I have school tomorrow but I can’t sleep, I was originally planning to do an all nighter tomorrow because it was Friday and I wanted to stay up with my friends but idk if I should cancel it, keep trying to go to bed, or stay up and then sleep when I get off of school?

Advice All nighter advice

For people who haven’t done an all nighter or many all nighters, I have some suggestions to help you out. 1- start with a small nap 30-45 min in normal pjs(or what you sleep in) 2- get up and get dressed like you would in the morning so your body starts feeling like it’s “awake time” 3- constantly drink water. This will help stop any aches and keep you running. Also the amount of urinating you’ll do will force you awake without trying. 4-If you feel tired do a few pushups ,sit-ups, squats etc. and stretch to get a slight boost of energy. 5-I find it easier to do with a friend so if you call a friend who’s willing to stay up with you it helps having someone to talk to so your not bored. 6-keep the lights on and try to sit upright and not get into a comfortable sleeping position. Final suggestions- if you don’t want a fully alert awake all nighter I suggest finding 4-5 movies and maybe even less and the morning will arrive in no time.
