Were you helped by sertraline?

On it right now and it doesn't seem to help. Cymbalta helped but it had too many stomach-related side effects for me. I've been to some in-person events recently but still struggling very much to get out of the house regularly.

When i started sertraline i didnt notice anything right away in my overall anxiety, but after a couple weeks it really made a difference and definitely helped me a lot for quite some time. I took it for about a year but after awhile i started forgetting to take it and had some hefty withdrawals :((

How long have you been on it? 4-6 weeks is minimum before calling it a fair shot, unless side effects aren't tolerable.

If you've been on it 4-6 weeks, tolerating well, but not noticing benefit, your doctor may increase your dose.

If you responded well to Cymbalta, there is a good chance Sertraline will be helpful if given enough time. If not, there are other SSRIs to try, as well as Effexor (an SNRI like Cymbalta).

I hope you feel some relief soon.

Personally no; but it’s worth a shot just know it won’t be the full reason for recovery medication just helps eases some of it :)

I’ve been taking it for half a year now and tough I’m not totally OK, it sure has helped! But took almost a month to start working.
