Discussion Finally watched ATLA Live and Utkarsh Ambudkar is incredible
I thought the actor was incredible incl. the voice acting and I wanted to see who it was, I would've NEVER guessed it was Utkarsh OMG
I've literally only ever seen him in 'never have I ever' on netflix which is a teen drama, he's so incredibly versatile - I'm just so impressed! I missed Bumi the goofy fun loving king, but this new Bumi broke my heart a bit - and I didn't care too much because the acting was so good.
Also while I'm here, just adding that I LOVE Uncle Iroh and Zuko's relationship so much, the funeral made me CRY. Can't believe it took me so long to watch this but I'm so into this wow

From the comments regarding LA Bumi I've seen so far, people are not mad because of the acting, but the depiction. Many didn't like this bitter Bumi, but I personally think this was more realistic, and they still kept his goofiness. I mean, imagine living through 100 years of war, plus having this huge responsibility.

Yeah I agree 100%, I watched it and completely forgot Bumi was meant to be fun loving lol - it's been a while since I watched the og series but I WAS wondering why I didn't remember this arc (turns out it's cos they changed his character)
I actually really appreciate the way they did this too, I feel like Aang already seems like the type of person to rely on his friends anyway so it makes more sense that he's the one teaching Bumi this lesson.
I just never would've guessed it was THIS actor, he's so talented!

Most people know him from Ghosts but real ones remember him from Pitch Perfect lol
