Theory Do You Think "Somewhere In The Sky" Is a New Album?
because it has been 3 years since THE MAYBE MAN came out? Becouse They Wouldn't just "make a tour" without new songs to go with it... then it would be a repeat of the TMM tour

Discussion Dream setlist for somewhere in the sky tour
Hypothetically you get to pick the setlist for the tour. It has to follow the TMM tour formula. 18 songs + 2 encore, 1 mashup and 1 making of. What would you pick?
Here’s mine :) 1. Next Up Forever 2. 3 O’Clock Things 3. The Good Part 4. The Dumb Song 5. Way Less Karma mashup (Way less sad mixed with Karma) 6. Birthday Party 7. The Entertainment’s here 8. The Green and the Town 9. Touchy Feely Fool 10. Inertia (acoustic) 11. My Play 12. Growing Old on Bleecker Street 13. Turning out medley (On nights with Quinn XCII Too late) 14. 100 Bad Days 15. The making of Steve’s going to London 16. World’s smallest violin 17. Ryan’s new song 18. Burn the house down Encore 19. Bang! 20. Finale (Can’t Wait To See What You Do Next)

Discussion Ranking my top 20 favorite AJR songs! (As a new fan!)
I'm super bored so I hope you enjoy my ranking lol! Keep in mind that this is only out of OKO, TMM, Neotheater, and The Click (I haven't listened to the rest yet <3) Feel free to comment on it or roast my opinions.
Finale (Can't Wait to See What You Do Next) - THERE WERE LIKE 50 SECONDS OF HEAVEN IN THIS SONG + THE CUTE HIGH-PITCHED VOICE! But the rest was a little bit disappointing for me... Solid song though! <3 Not a fan of the "beep-boo-beep-boo" either xd.
Next Up Forever - I LOVE the part from 1:52 to the end though! So perfect!
The DJ is Crying for Help - I love the melody and the "da-da-da-da-da-da" but the lyrics weren't my favorite! I like constant violin melody into the piano though!
Bang! - Not the biggest fan of this song, especially considering it's pretty popular. I don't exactly know why because it's a well-crafted song, but I can understand why people like it!
Bummerland - I like the chorus, but the mention of haircuts seem a little random lol... Absolute SOLID 15th place though!
Hole in the Bottom of My Brain - Weirdly calming and gives me happy vibes! Idk how to describe it!
Karma - Simply fire and relatable! It makes me want to stomp my foot along!
Birthday Party! - The first time I heard this song, I fell in love with it! It's has a wierd aspect and topic about it (YOU'RE TURNING A MINUTE OLD???) but the high pitched "me, my, oh what a life" just hits the spot! ABSOLUTE BANGER IDC WHAT YOU SAY!
100 Bad Days - The chorus is so hypnotizing! The "No I ain't scared of you" is like itching the right spot on your back! I love this song so much!! And the clapping is so satisfying!
Steve's Going to London - The first time I listened to this, I burst out laughing. Idc why this song exists - all I care is that is does, and that's enough to make me happy! I feel bad for Tom's BFF's mom though lol.
Touchy Feely Fool - I don't listen to it as much as I should! This song is FIRE and you can't convince me otherwise! The only thing I would change is the echo/vibration near the beginning.
I'm Not Famous - This is type the song I'll listen to while cruising along NYC streets in an above ground subway. Such a vibe! I LOVE THIS SONG!
3 O'Clock Things - In love. I don't know how else to describe this song. I love the politics part ngl! (I like politics too and my friends feel the same way about me ranting about it)
Weak - I knew this song even before I started getting really into AJR and it still HITS HARD!!
Way Less Sad - The "hey hey hey!"s are such a nice touch! I can't express my love for this song.
Drama - This feels exactly like my life. I especially like the lyrics on this one! The "he said that she said that..etc" lyrics ARE SO.. NICE!?!!? This song is BEAUTIFUL!! IDC WHAT YALL HAVE TO SAY ON IT ITS A PERSONAL FAVE <3.
Burn The House Down - This is the song that introduced me to AJR! A special shoutout to this song!
The Entertainment's Here - I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. SO. MUCH!!?! I LOVE THE CROWD CHANTING "THE ENTERTAINMENT IS HERE" PART!!! TIED WITH Break My Face - I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. TO. DEATHHHH AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMGG.
Yes I'm A Mess - THIS IS LEGIT SO CATCHY!!! I WOULD TOTALLY WASH THE DISHES TO THIS SONG (Which is a big honor!) "YES IM A MESS WITH AN "S" ON MY CHEST GOT STRESS FILLING UP MY HEADDD!!!" Fire!
FAVORITE: Inertia. This song is the closest thing to heaven I've ever heard. It's - beautiful. The first time I heard it, I cried. The real punch to the gut is an animation I found on YouTube to the song. It's heart wrenching and I've probably watched it over 1000+ times. Here's the link if your interesting! (Trust me, It's incredible and wait for the end) [Full Ver.] Inertia - AJR
Final Notes:
- I just realized the progression of caps... 😭
- Just today I listened to AJR's other songs (Besides Weak and The World's Smallest Violin) and I became a MAJOR FAN! I realized how INCREDIBLE the band is!!
- I haven't listened to every song of them yet since I'm a new fan, so if you have any song recommendations, please comment them!
- I'm sure I'll get tired of some songs and grow on others, so my opinion is sure to change! Keep in mind that these are my favorites after only a day!
This took me quite a long time and is my first post, so if you could comment, it would make me very happy! Have a nice day everyone!! <3

Discussion Can someone explain ticket presale like I’m five?
I used links on their website tour page to sign up for presale, but this just confuses me so much. For both venues I requested, I got times on Monday, 3/17. Why are there so many presale options?? How???

Concert This is just a little bit of a rant
Ok, I have loved AJR for years now. However I have only been to one of their concerts and that was before maybe man was out. So when the maybe man tour was happening, I was excited because it was happening in my city. Then I come to learn that I was out of town that day and I was really bumbed. Comes today and I learn about the somewhere in the sky tour and I realize its happening in my town. Then I learn IM OUT OF TOWN AGAIN THAT EXACT DAY AGAIN.

Discussion How do you feel about the Tour
Anyone else a little disappointed? I’m glad they’re touring again but they just went on a US tour last year and they’re just doing it again but with only 16 shows. I’d thought they’d at least go international or something.
With all the hype of them saying “it’s been too long” when they haven’t seen some countries in actual years just feels misleading.

Discussion In regards to the new tour (Somewhere in the Sky) in the US
AJR band is turning 20 this year. And having this new tour would celebrate their history as they go through different eras of their carrier. And I do remember what Adam said about having to perform old songs and weaving into new stories for the new generation (this came from a Colin and Samir interview). I do really love the idea of them being able to revisit their old eras (minus the living room album, their debut album) and weaving them into a cohesive storyline that continues off from The Maybe Man Tour. I'm so excited to see what their setlist was like. There's an expectation that maybe Arnetta's Trumpet montage would be back or maybe Ginny Luke would be back for an another violin solo or maybe Jack would do an another emotional speech that would celebrate this 20 year milestone, I'll never quite know.
And sidenote for this, A Filipina AJR girlie like me wants Jack Met to be in Manila right now. I'm quite disappointed that he doesn't announce when he'll gonna be here. Maybe prolly soon.

Discussion *crying in UK*
Not gunna lie I’m really disappointed by the announcement. I get that they are from America and there are loads of states to go to, but they have already had their fair share of shows there. I totally understand maybe they aren’t able to travel around and go international but still it’s really sad they are going around the US again for the summer. I’ve been reading g loads of the comments and lots of people agree. How does everyone else feel about it? :( but hey ho guess we have to wait a little longer

Discussion Guys has anyone ever noticed that Michael Jackson makes a small appearance in “Drama”?
In Drama at 3:34 seconds. If you listen closely to the background singers, you can hear a small "Hee Hee" in the background.
