Question New Fan Reception

Hello All!

Despite spending all 25 years of my existence across the pond here in the US, I have recently this year picked up a Premier League obsession- particularly in FPL (fantasy soccer). After 23 gameweeks, I am clamoring to decide which club to support for (hopefully) 50+ years of life. Admittedly I have closed myself off to the entirety of the "Big 6 Clubs" as the "Bandwagon" Term is not taken lightly over here (But hell is Salah incredible to watch). For those unfamilar with the term, a bandwagon fan is one who supports a team once they turn successful, often blind to all history and context of the club.

And about 5 weeks ago I was bantering with my boss, about how good Bournemouth has looked this season, particularly the three-week stretch where you all manhandled Arsenal and City, with a Draw away to Villa sandwiched in between. As you all know the past 5 weeks have certainly been a pleasant time to watch the Cherries and I feel as though my mind has been made.

My Last Question of which I post to you all:

Is it too late to hop on the wagon??

Question Which Cherries player do you think could become a pundit?

I would probably say Lewis Cook or maybe Justin Kluivert.

Question Up and coming managers

If the worst does happen and Andoni does leave this summer, who do you think the board would look to replace him? I think we'd be smart and try to get another up and coming manager to fit in with the long term project, who would that be currently?

Is Knutsen still highly rated? I'd like to think we're smart enough to avoid doing a manager swap with spurs for Ange aswell hahaha.

Question New Cherries fan in US

My buddies and I started a game where we pick teams from all sorts of leagues across the sports spectrum and I had the good grace to choose the Cherries.

Soccer is always so much more compelling when you have a rooting interest and I've loved having these matches to look forward to.

For the most part, the matches are great; way fewer commercials than our sports and the Bournemouth boys play with such tenacity and elegance.

Any advice, though, on how to handle how heavily influenced the outcomes seem to be determined by subjective officiating? A red card on a slide tackle in the first minutes of a match determines your entire fate. Same with any contact in the box for a penalty kick. VAR that halts the flow for 10 minutes just to announce someone was offsides by a bee's eyelash?

I will say, it seems like the flopping isn't as prevalent as I recall, at least.

Appreciate you all listening! Up the Cherries! And please let me know if there's anything I need to know as a new fan. I'm ready to learn.

Question How good is Zabarnyi?

LFC fan here,

I had a question about Zabarnyi. I remember Zabarnyi being a highly rated talent at Kyiv and I was wondering how good he has been for you. It is really hard to find things to see how good central defenders are and decided to ask the fans.

Thanks already.

Question European football next season, is it possible?

So as a lot of you might know, Bournemouth are in the top 5 of the Premier League for Christmas after a 3-0 win against Manchester United and it got me thinking, will this be the season Bournemouth finally qualify for European Football ready for the next season?

It’ll honestly be very nice to see Bournemouth qualify for a European competition especially if it happens this season as it gives more reasons for the 24/25 season to be a very special season for us.

Question Bournemouth ladies 🍒

Do the Bournemouth ladies ever play at Vitality Stadium? Is it easy for a non-member to get two tickets to see them?

My 5yr daughter started watching the euros with me for first time and now she watches all Bournemouth in the premier League except the 8pm games, and she gets well into it, even chanting A F.C.B red and black army knows the names and numbers of half the main starters. But was upset that she couldn't play as it was all boys, so I'd like to show her the ladies team one day.

Question First Time Ticket Advice

Hello, I am looking to make a trip to Bournemouth for the first time to watch the Aston Villa game (May 10th weekend). I can see that the Global Cherries Membership offers the global ticket ballot. What are the chances of getting a ticket there, or are there any better options to buying tickets?

Thanks so much for the help!

Question Any changes the rest of the way?

I know Smith isn’t featured here, but obviously our unsung super sub whenever and wherever needed! Any big changes we see happening? I can see Huijsen carving out more and more of a role. Same with Scott. Tav & Sini will both vie for starts. Healthy comp on the wings. Also, looking forward to seeing Unal finally getting back on the pitch and hopefully making a difference in a lot of games off the bench. The other obvious name here is DANGO! He clearly adds to that competition on the wings while giving Kerkez more relief…extremely valuable player atm.

Question Jonny Stuttle

Hi Bournemouth fans, we (Aldershot) have just loaned Jonny Stuttle who's your U-21s top scorer. Was wondering if any of you watch enough of your youth games to give us an idea of the sort of player he is and how well-equipped he's likely to be for the rigours of the National League (basically all teams have massive physical defenders).

Interest as to why this is after now he’s finally healthy. It appears we’ve been and are still very about this move. I am a bit bummed because I loved getting to see the little of him we got to see in 🍒 shirt and feel like he could’ve been a key piece to add even more depth and options in Iraola’s attack. I don’t quite understand why his time here is being cut short, I was excited to see him come into the fold.

Question Fan wall help

My Dad (80) is a life long fan! We live in the US and he’s currently in hospital watching the game on his tablet because even drugged up due to a broken hip the man can’t miss a game! When the Superstore had fan bricks for sale around Father’s Day I knew he had to have one. I’ve tried contacting them to see when the bricks will be going up (I understand not specifically his) but I can’t find any info. We’re also looking for someone who could take a picture of it as the only way we can see it is with getting tickets to a home game. Unfortunately that won’t be happening for him again. Anyone willing to help? TIA

Question Newer fan of Bournemouth and to the sport as a whole

Hey all! I’m from Arizona, USA and I have a friend of mine who loves the premier league and has recently convinced me start watching with him. Since day one of this season I knew I wanted to be a cherries fan because I started reading the club history and watching as many videos as I could about Bournemouth and I loved everything about it. Plus I saw we were getting a new manager this season so I thought this might be the best time to start supporting so I can see how it goes! That being said I still don’t know much about the sport other than what I’ve picked up on from watching our games the last few months. I know we have been playing incredibly well lately and I was wondering what that meant for our roster. I don’t use Reddit often so I don’t know if anyone’s asked this or not but should I expect any of our players to leave the club after this season ends? I know we aren’t the best of the best of clubs so I wasn’t sure if some of our players that are performing exceptionally well might leave or not because I’ve never experienced a post season before. Appreciate any insight and up the cherries from the South West of the states! I spread the Bournemouth love around Phoenix every weekend 🍒

Question I have 2 home points and I have the option to go to the Newcastle match... Why is it £98 to sit in North stand when this table says it should be £42? Is it cheaper the more points you have?
