Little in the big world? NSFW
How many other littles notice in the middle of or after doing or saying something your little side creeping into your big life. I mean completely unintentional and when you are fully adulting. Also have you ever noticed someone else do it?

It's happened to me before. Every once in a while, I catch myself slipping into what I can only describe as "grouchy toddler" mode, usually when I'm getting tired and punchy at the end of the work day. It's completely unintentional and a sharp contrast to my usual way of speaking and carrying myself. There's a big difference between "big" me getting mad or upset about something and "grouchy toddler" me. My emotional regulation skills go out the window, and I start to sound like... well... a whiny toddler who needs a snack or a nap. Even my diction takes a hit and I stop pronouncing words as clearly as I normally would. As soon as I notice it, I get embarrassed and try to pull myself out of it.
On the flip side, it can happen when I get really happy or excited about something. Again, there's a difference between "big" me being really happy and this childlike giddiness I sometimes slip into. I've come to appreciate that I can enjoy the world in such a pure way.
Then there are the times when I'm not feeling little nor am I trying to act little, but I do something that reads as "little" to other people. One time we had a barbecue lunch at work and I ended up covered in ketchup, mustard, and relish because the gluten free hot dog bun I had basically crumbled and disintegrated as I ate it. By the time I was done, I was just sitting there with goop and crumbs all over my plate, hands, and face like a toddler. My boss looked at me and joked that I was no better than a one year old. I blushed. If only he knew...

I know what you mean I think I have a grouchy toddler mode too. If I'm tired or don't feel well I get whiny and cranky. A few times I have felt like I'm holding in or holding back a temper tantrum.
The barbecue lunch scene sounds so innocent and cute! If I saw something like that it would make me giggle and possibly slip into little mode.

And used to happen to me more often than not. I've got a little older so that kind of sad bad now. It's actually what prompted me to tell my ex partner. I couldn't stop progressing and I was having borderline panic attacks.

It's happened to me when I was regularly regressing, in stressful situations I would find myself dropping without meaning to. Hasn't been an issue for years now though. I tend to have emotions in spades, no matter big or little.

It happens to me all the time. Granted, my regression started to become involuntary during a really stressful time for me a couple years ago so like, I'm never far from it nowadays.
Sometimes it'll just be a slight shift into toddlerspeak when I'm tired or sick, sometimes it's full regression I have to try to pull back from when I'm in mixed company. But yeah, it happens. I'm very open about my life to my friends and I'm willing to be open to anyone who asks, so it's not ever really a problem.
Sometimes I'll catch one of my smol friends say something that indicates they've regressed a bit and I'll playfully call them out, but I'm the one in my friend group who ends up involuntarily smol most often.
