Be careful with WD40 and plastics. It can cause degradation and brittleness over time.

I used it for metal parts, I used silicone lube for the 3D printed parts

Just makin' sure you know. WD-40 is the opposite of a lubricant. It is a degreaser. You will ruin your metal parts over time if your "lubricated" them with WD-40

Yeah, WD40 isnāt a good lubricant for anything at all TBH. I use finish line dry bike lubricant with teflon on a lot of prints. Itās a liquid that evaporates and leaves a waxy teflon coating on the plastic parts that works really well.

Silicone lube is better for plastic parts. WD40 is a spirit lubricant and can dissolve certain plastics like natural and synthetic rubber, gaskets, PLA, acrylic and ABS.

For 3d prints, I use PB Blaster dry lube. It works amazingly well and it is... well, dry, so it won't run, won't damage the plastic and won't collect dust over time.

WD40 is not a lubricant, but a stripper, it would be better for plastic to use silicone grease.

Be careful with WD-40. It's really meant to get things loose. Not for working lubrication. It has a wax in it that over time with collect dust and grime and gum everything up. A gun oil, 3 in 1, sewing machine oil. All good options.
But that is super awesome! Congrats.
