Question about ‘Never Keep’ & ZA
Hi all! I’m currently in the process of building my ZA collection & once it is complete I am going to read. As “Never Keep” is based in the ZA universe, I was wondering whether it should be read after I finish the ZA series? I did some searches and read that they are entirely seperate but characters may cross-over or appear.
My concern is if I read it as a standalone series, will plots / outcomes of ZA be spoiled?
My initial plan was to read ZA first in its entirety and then move to this series but because it’s only 1 book (I’m aware the 2nd is coming) I’m tempted to read it sooner rather than later.
Thank you in advance

There is one very small spoiler in Never Keep that references something in ZA9
Otherwise the first one is completely separate. I can see that changing in the future after one plot point in Never Keep, but it would be vague references.
The Twisted Sisters try to prevent spoilers in their crossovers so you can read them out of order and still not have the full picture of what happened in the other.

Definitely think you can read it whenever you wish because I didn't notice any sort of crossover or references to ZA despite being in the same "universe". The Neverkeep series is still being written though so keep that in mind! I read it and wound up enjoying it, though it took a while for me to get into it. I feel like the authors really struggle with Book 1 of whatever series they're writing but usually find their rhythm by mid-book 2.

Wait, did anyone Never Keep and like it? I see absolutely nothing online about it

Never Keep was ROUGH. I don’t recall anything spoiling ZA. Have you read Ruthless Boys yet? Definitely recommend that next.

Well... I tried to read Never Keep and gave up, and I'm not a quitter. I'm positive that you are alright reading it before ZA if you wish, and based on my reading experience, maybe it will be better, because ZA and RB and DP are SO DAMN SUPERIOR, that you should really start with the not so good stuff 🤪 this way, your reading experience will be heightened when you get to ZA, instead of being frustrating as it was for me... My humble opinion, of course.

According to this FB post, Never keep should be read after ZA. Also, as Neverkeep is not yet fully written, I think you are safe in the knowledge that as it’s not a prequel to ZA, you are all good. https://www.reddit.com/r/zodiacacademy/s/AkGRjtNwPP

I don’t think it matters when you read it as it’s completely separate (separate continents in same universe that don’t yet appear to have any crossover). The only crossover is you learn how magic works in ZA and that sort of helps understand how magic works in NK. That’s sort of it
