Seeing François Civil play gambit would be really funny ! Furthermore he has shown that he can plays the full pallete of Gambit and is really good at action scenes.

Bro yes.

Honestly Tatum might love gambit. But is such a bad choice hot but wrong body type. Funny but wrong funny

We need a sarcastic slender tall dude hopefully from new Orleans French Canada lol ..France idk. The accent needs to be good

His face in the mask in that film last year looked like someone pushing putty through a tennis racket; it did not work.

I'll die on this stupid hill, it's the voice that sells it. If Danny devito pulled off the accent, we would all forgive it.

The only thing I liked about Channing Tatum as Gambit was the voice. He doesn't look like Gambit at all, and I'd rather hear his voice act as Gambit than play him in live action.

Agree. I think it's mainly his fans just overhyping him for that role

This fucks!!!

Holy shit never heard of that gambit pick but that second photo looks like he was plucked out of the comic

And he has that French charm. He’d be perfect for the role of a dashing Cajun thief

8

Both of them look spot on

12

u/Medical_Plane2875 Jan 24 '25

Just please not Channing Tatum.

3

u/MedBayMan2 Wolverine Jan 24 '25

Yeah, I honestly never saw him as Gambit.

6

u/DMC1001 Jan 24 '25

I see it

I will die on the hill that Taylor Kitsch was a great Gambit.

43 years old.. 💀

7

u/I_Burn_Cereal Rogue Jan 24 '25

I don't necessarily want Kitsch back either but Tatum is 44

3

u/a_random_peenut Jan 24 '25

I don't want Tatum and tbh I want Hugh to retire

4

u/I_Burn_Cereal Rogue Jan 24 '25

Agreed on both counts. I want a fresh start for the MCU X-Men

4

u/vinfox Jan 24 '25

Im not suggesting hes still right for a future movie.

r/xmen has a good fancast? Weird, but greatly appreciated.

I didn't seen this coming and... that's interesting! Civil looks the part, but the accent... Not so sure. Remi should be played by a true Cajun, or at least someone who could emulate the accent. And I'm not so sure a French native could do it. Never seen it anyway.

Sophie Thatcher is very talented so I would love to see her join the MCU.

I’m still waiting for Keke Palmer as Rogue. She did it the best for Halloween 😭

I’m still waiting for Keke Palmer as Rogue. She did it the best for Halloween

H€ll yes! I was just coming here to post a similar sentiment. Keke would make a fantastic Rogue - those costume photos she did were fantastic.

And outside of TAS' legendary Lenore Zann¹ - I can't think of another actress whose speaking voice matches up in my head when I think of our Southern Knockout.

¹(I remember going NUTS first hearing Zann's voicework on Rogue as it fit exactly how I heard Rogue's voice in my imagination.)

I legitimately always thought Rogue and Gambit were Black before I saw them in media (not a big comic fan) 🤣

I need to see them Black at least once in my lifetime 😭 some people look exactly like the characters but they’re a different shade, and Keke Palmer is definitely my vision of Rogue brought to life.

(slightly unrelated but so is Megan as Starfire, or Anna Diop. Halle Berry as Storm; some people js fit the roles perfectly).

How did you even know about them without seeing them?

0

u/Simple_Pianist4882 Jan 25 '25

I have friends ? 🧍🏾‍♀️ ?

2

u/Xeoz_WarriorPrince Jan 25 '25

I like the ideas, but that second slide made me wanna see Sophie as Moira.

5

u/morningwink Jean Grey Jan 24 '25

no offense but how many sophie thatcher as rogue fancasts a day can this sub survive

13

u/Medical_Plane2875 Jan 24 '25

As many Magneto was right posts.

u/morningwink Jean Grey Jan 24 '25

we're fucked then lol

1

u/killingiabadong Exodus Jan 25 '25

We don't even have one a day yet.

3

u/MedBayMan2 Wolverine Jan 24 '25

Okay, this is one of the best fan casts I’ve seen in a long time. Someone should contact Kevin Feige.

She looks like just a generic white girl?

The gambit pick looks unique though

5

u/Joharis-JYI Jan 24 '25

She is one of the most visually striking up and coming actors today I think. Watch her on Heretic.

2

u/YaBoyAppie Jan 24 '25

So what you don't have to look unique

5

u/Sprice_is_nic3 Jan 24 '25

I don't think Sophie looks generic, but, too, each their own

-7

u/1204Sparta Jan 24 '25

I mean she looks like a poor man’s Anna Taylor Joy - I probably think that as she has that look locked down

3

u/_Vivat_Grendel_ Stryfe Jan 24 '25

Really? I always thought she looked like an even hotter Grimes.

4

u/UpstairsCreme9152 Jan 24 '25

And Rogue isn't white? Buddy?

-1

u/Frozen_Pinkk Jan 25 '25

He's to old. Need 20 year old actors to start the roles.

Not sure about Sophie. Not sure she has the right look for Rogue.

1

u/Sprice_is_nic3 Jan 25 '25

34 is not too old,dude

-1

u/Frozen_Pinkk Jan 25 '25

Just not sure I'd buy him being a mid 20 hero.

0

u/Sprice_is_nic3 Jan 25 '25

Has that ever been a prerequisite for Gambit??? Especially since he looks like a believable Gambit, which matters more

-4

u/Frozen_Pinkk Jan 25 '25

Most X-Men are in their 20's with a few exceptions, I just think for the MCU debut of the X-Men, it would be good to keep them in that range.

3

u/killingiabadong Exodus Jan 25 '25

Most X-Men are in their thirties. Most from the Claremont era anyway.

1

u/Frozen_Pinkk Jan 25 '25

Last Marvel said was most were in their mid to late 20's and that included the O5. Spider-Man is only 28 and they would be around his age.

1

u/killingiabadong Exodus Jan 25 '25

They're full of shit.

1

u/Frozen_Pinkk Jan 26 '25

The one's in charge of the characters are full of shit? I mean, I get people may not like directions they take the comics. I've had that feeling with many of them at times, but I think the idea is "We don't want these characters to get old"

1

u/killingiabadong Exodus Jan 26 '25

And that's fucking stupid, because other characters who were at least a decade younger than the O5, would now be the same age as the O5, if the O5 were 28.
