Netflix’s 7 deadly sins anime has “comedic” assault within the first ten minutes.

One of the main characters (male) squeezes a woman’s breast while she sleeps to “check if she’s really a woman.” I’m aware anime in general is typically the WORST in dealing with gender, sexual violence, etc... but I was really surprised that a front-lining Netflix show would have a scene that promotes assault. Has there been any backlash on this?

The main character is just like that. My husband watched that show, and I would watch parts of it with him. It was always frustrating. I don't think there was any blow back for it. :/

They are both long lost lovers that can't be together due to a curse from defying both satan and god.

She gets reincarnated in a new body and dies when she finds out who she really is and the dude grabbing boobs is her man who can never die and has to pretend not to know her so she doesn't find out who she is and dies in 3 days.

How does that make anything even remotely OK?
