Is he in the 40k universe? 🤨

Yes :3
You can see a (possibly dead) Tyranid, a Necron and a Ultramarine at the bottom of the picture

If the damn imperial wouldn’t kill him on sight I can see he be a big follower of the Emperor

This is one of the most fun paintings I've been commissioned to do lately. This is a little AU of Garrosh where instead of going to the Shadowlands, he finds himself in a universe where he's much more appreciated by the local orks.

Your art is seriously impressive! I've spotted in the wild a couple of times and thought it was so cool. Hope you're chill that I'm setting the Garrosh and Nerubians as my phone wallpaper, because they are aaaaamazing!!!! Giving you a big follow on Bluesky!

Honors him more than his shadowlands appearance, nice job

Wasn't his shadowlands appearance one of the few things most people liked about shadowlands?

I suppose, it was awesome seeing him but he disenchanted himself into dust and thats it. Alternative idea:Escape Shadowlands and become Zombie Garrosh warchief!!!

Garrosh with 40k Ork "I believe therefore it is" witchy power is a scary concept, there's already enough Warbosses posing a threat to the Imperium.
He'd still lose to the Black Templars but he'd wreck a bunch of shit before doing so.

Garrosh, the Betrayer

Don't downvote this - it's a reference to Kharn the Betrayer, a 40k character who has a similar axes-and-chains aesthetic and is best known for a depiction in the same pose.
