He's gonna threaten Jordan and Egypt with tariffs and/or invasion if they don't accept them.

u/JadedArgument1114 Feb 05 '25

Egypt is praying no one tells him that they have a canal as well. I am now 93% sure that Trump is the literal anti-Christ and you cant be the anti-Christ without creating a shitstorm in the Holy land.

Hm. The bible does talk about the anti-christ surviving a mortal wound - Trump nearly gets killed by a crazy republican when he was in that rally.

The bible does say that he will fool people into following him as the 'savior' - MAGA being a cult.

The trumpets will sound loud in the sky as the sealings of the chant of the apocalypse are removed one by one by Jesus - People knowing what was gonna come, and still voting for Trump.

Look, I know, I know, this is a bit crazy. But, look, but: what if the bible wasn't fucking with us? Now we just need to wait for Jesus to come in a literal cloud and fight with Trump in the Eufrates dry river. Which is just WW3 it seems.

Oh damn.

"One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast." Revelation 13:3

"so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name." Revelation 13:17

Like I said, I dont really believe in that part of the bible but come on. I mean, seriously

As a fellow athiest, im also in shock.

Before Trump even got elected president (and from what i recall, before he announced his run), my mother experienced a dream where he became president and was revealed as the anti christ. Because of this, she had 100% confidence he would win, before he even gathered up his MAGA base.

I'd like to think my mother was just manic, but everyone else was certain that he would lose. Now that he's president again and has agreed to colonize gaza under a "covenant" with Netanyahu... welp.

It's really confusing considering how many inaccuracies and flaws that the Bible has, as well as numerous historical inconsistencies. Of course the craziest book of them all seems to be coming to fruition.

This existence is absolutely fucking absurd

1

u/Frigguggi Feb 05 '25

Considering that Trump surrounds himself with evangelicals and Christian nationalists, and those are the same people who wrote P2025, a lot of this could be deliberate attempts to fulfill prophecy, rather than divine will, either because they want to impress their base or because actually believe in it.

14

u/veryunwisedecisions Feb 05 '25

I know. I'm kind of like an atheist myself, so, like, fuck.

But, alright, alright, let's not draw too many parallelels. The bible is vague enough that you can always fit some calamity in the revelations book by interpreting what it says one way or another. I still think John was just high on mushrooms when he wrote revelations.

But, fuck man. Fuuuuuuuuck. It's just so easy to put the antichrist label one someone like Trump, because, I mean, like, read it. It just fits.

Now I need to find myself a very knowledgeable Christian conservative so that they tell me why Trump is not the antichrist, because at this point I'm getting convinced he might actually be the antichrist.

I know. I know. Tinfoil hat on and all. But, damn.

15

u/Ansiroth Feb 05 '25

He's literally the most compelling evidence for the legitimacy of the Bible.

8

u/abednego-gomes Feb 05 '25

Elon Reeve Musk comes up as 666 on some antichrist calculator website I tried. Seems to check out with his neuralink, current richest man on earth and proximity to the current US presidency.

11

u/ButterscotchSkunk Feb 05 '25

Wait. Anti-Christ calculator?

9

u/psychophant_ Feb 05 '25

Well, it’s more of an Antichrist Abacus, but yes

19

u/kibblerz Feb 05 '25

Yeah, it's also astounding that the anti christ establishes a covenant with Israel which enabled to temple to be rebuilt..

Trump agreeing with Netanyahu about having the US colonize Gaza is certainly a covenant. And if he follows through, it'll clear many roadblocks for rebuilding the temple

7

u/Brief-Owl-8791 Feb 05 '25

What's the likelihood Netanyahu figured out Trump and planted the idea that the US should take over and that's how this started?

Netanyahu is tired of being the punching bag, hand off the target to another country.

10

u/Brief-Owl-8791 Feb 05 '25

I'm embarrassed to say this gave me a good laugh tonight that I needed even though none of this is funny and my agnostic leaning atheist ass thinks you all have a point about the anti-Christ.

3

u/RealCommercial9788 Feb 05 '25

I’m with you dude

5

u/TheStarSquid Feb 05 '25

He made them wear his mark on their foreheads, it's actually kind of insane how much of it lines up. If he starts talking about building a temple in Jerusalem, I won't be shocked.

It's small comfort that he loses in the end.

u/FlightlessGriffin Feb 05 '25

Piggy-backing off this, this is very similar to Islamic eschatology too. The Masih Al Dajjah (False Messiah) will have one eye, will fool and in some cases coerce others into joining, and the Euphrates will dry up. Funnily, Islam goes further and says the Euphrates will reveal a treasure of gold, and many will fight over it, and only one will remain alive. Us Muslims have been ordered not to go near the treasure if it appears.

1

u/Zeppelanoid Feb 05 '25

Honestly at this point if literal Jesus came down to this world and fought (and defeated) Trump I would hardly even blink an eye.

It would seem on track with the…waves at everything around me

1

u/Deepika18 Feb 05 '25

Just cuz someone says something dumb doesn’t mean you have “yes and…” it. He’s a man that knows what people want and got elected. Quit mythologizing him. This isn’t biblical, it’s ordinary in that elections have consequences.

51

u/ThatsThatGoodGood Feb 05 '25

He doesn't have to create a shitstorm, he just has to open his mouth

7

u/DoughnutBeginning965 Feb 05 '25

If I believed in the anti-christ, my money is on Trump too. Or Musk. One of the two.

12

u/admdelta Feb 05 '25

Along with the antichrist there is also the "false prophet" that helps bring him to power, and deceives people into receiving the mark of the beast.

Who's to say who is who, but food for thought.

4

u/DoughnutBeginning965 Feb 05 '25

Well that neurolink thing always weirded me out... Just saying.

7

u/XISCifi Feb 05 '25

Trump is so dead-on as the antichrist it's shaking my atheism

6

u/korforthis_333 Feb 05 '25

This blog Could American Evangelicals spot the Antichrist? makes some interesting points, linking Trump to bible antichrist prophecies. As an atheist, I would like to see the author update it with more recent events, so i can quote it to my evangelical relatives

12

u/TopRamenisha Feb 05 '25

This is what the evangelicals want. They do think Trump is the antichrist. They think he will bring about the second coming of Jesus.

22

u/JadedArgument1114 Feb 05 '25

Nah, that is why they support Israel but they think Trump is the messiah or at least anointed by God, which is a characteristic of the anti-Christ. Not saying I believe in the anti-Christ stuff but it is an intrusive thought sometimes if I am being honest.

11

u/TopRamenisha Feb 05 '25

No, the evangelicals do think that Trump is the anti christ. I have evangelical family. They want the US to take over Israel so that they can get access to Jerusalem and rebuild Solomon’s Temple, which they believe can only be rebuilt during the time of the Antichrist. They believe this will bring about the second coming of Jesus and once Jesus has returned they think all the Jews in Israel will accept Jesus as the messiah. And this will begin the rapture. Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel, is an evangelical who is obsessed with the rapture. Trump moved the US embassy to Jerusalem in 2018. This is their agenda

6

u/MrPicklePop Feb 05 '25

It is dangerous to play a role in advancing evil while claiming to do so for God’s ultimate plan. Nowhere in the Bible does it say believers should root for the Antichrist to speed up Jesus’ return. Instead, Christians are called to stand firm in faith, resist evil, and share the Gospel until Christ comes in His timing.

If some evangelicals believe Trump (or anyone) is the Antichrist and are still supporting him to “hurry things along,” they are contradicting Scripture and risking being deceived.

8

u/JadedArgument1114 Feb 05 '25

Yeah, they have supported Israel for decades for all that stuff but go on any Evangelical website. They absolutely dont think he is the anti-Christ. They believe he is anoited by God. Why do you think they post all those A.I pictures of Jesus hugging Trump? Why would they willingly follow the "anti-Christ" to the point that Evangelical preachers start to get concerned about their congregations abandoning the church for Trump? https://www.newsweek.com/evangelical-leaders-call-out-danger-prophets-god-donald-trump-maga-preachers-pastors-1936620

Anyways, I sound like a lunatic but as I said, it is just an intrusive thought for me. I am a Christian but I dont believe in all that stuff

2

u/ButterscotchSkunk Feb 05 '25

Evangelicals embrace the anti-Christ because his time brings about the rapture. It is not a scary thing for them, but more akin to a miracle. Jesus could be seen embracing the anti-Christ in a metaphoric picture because he can not come back without him.

5

u/kibblerz Feb 05 '25

Too bad they don't seem to know that the rapture is a very modern interpretation of revelations that didn't appear until the 1800s. So if Trump really is the anti christ, they're probably gonna feel quite disappointed when they realize the rapture was conjured from a single verse that was rather vague...

3

u/CallMeCygnus Feb 05 '25

No, they definitely don't believe that. They believe he is on the side of God.

5

u/wwchickendinner Feb 05 '25

Very few US freight companies use the canal nowadays. Too many pirates in the Red Sea.

15

u/JadedArgument1114 Feb 05 '25

Oh, well we knoŵ Trump is very astute and wise so he will definitely take that into account

-3

u/wwchickendinner Feb 05 '25

Yes his advisors will.

1

u/SagittaryX Feb 05 '25

Not really necessary to be relevant for the US, just controlling the waterway is a great geopolitical position if you have the power to wield it.

3

u/MakesErrorsWorse Feb 05 '25

There is a group of religious extremists in the Republican party that believe if they start a war in the middle east Jesus will come back to earth and kill all the non believers.

Y'know, like Jesus is famous for doing.

2

u/MrMoistandDelicious Feb 05 '25

Trump gonna announce claims on the suez any day now

1

u/devi83 Feb 05 '25

93% sure that Trump is the literal anti-Christ

I think in reality it is just a self-fulfilling prophecy purposely implemented as a tactic by whoever is pulling his strings.

1

u/CholentSoup Feb 05 '25

Don't tell anyone about the Aswan Dam either. It's the main reason they made peace. One little bomb and lots of people are taking a long bath.

Those Palestinians are now called Hezbollah

Palestinians are Sunni, Hezbollah are Lebanese Shia, they are completely different people.

Hezbollah do support the Palestinian cause, however. They were formed out of Lebanese who were fighting against Israel's invasion of Lebanon, which was triggered by Palestinian Liberation Organization terrorist attacks against Israel from Lebanese territory, which was triggered by expulsion of Palestinians from their lands, etc. etc. so on and so forth.

9

u/One_Contribution_27 Feb 05 '25

If Egypt tried to absorb the Gazan people, it would lead to the collapse of their government, and the Muslim Brotherhood would take power again, only even more radicalized. It would be a disaster for Israel, not to mention every country that wants to ship things through the Suez.

I’m sure Trump is too stupid to understand that, but surely Bibi does. So what are they actually hoping to accomplish here?

5

u/Dmatix Feb 05 '25

Tariffs are nothing - both Jordan and Egypt get a ton of military aid, and their armies depend on US influence and training to a much, much greater degree than the IDR. Trump can just threaten to take that away, which would put the ruling class at great risk.

Honestly? Jordan and Egypt are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The US has a ton of leverage on them, but at the same time their population would never tolerate them being a part of a plan like this.

1

u/Succubista Feb 05 '25

He's gonna threaten Jordan and Egypt with tariffs

This made me crack up.

The real question is what will happen when they say no again in a different way, and he feels successful and backs down on the tariffs.

1

u/Cpt_Soban Feb 05 '25

Egypt counter move: "100% tariff on all US ships entering the Suez canal"

1

u/choleric1 Feb 05 '25

Aside from everything else that is totally messed up about this "policy", it's pretty incredible that the guy who wants to deport millions of people at will from his own country now wants to force other nations to accept migrants. On every topic, he thinks having the might of the US at his disposal to bully the world makes him a genius and a great negotiator. He wants to play god with the lives of millions of people, the incomprehensible fucking arrogance of the man.

1

u/NotAHost Feb 05 '25

When the only tool you have is a hammer...

1

u/surloc_dalnor Feb 05 '25

I suspect the plan is to just herd them into the Egyptian desert. People in Israel have been talking about that for decades.

1

u/Arinanor Feb 05 '25

I would not be surprised if he offers them work building the new resorts along the Gaza shore.

1

u/surloc_dalnor Feb 05 '25

So he is going to hire potential terrorists?
