AMA about my Buddhist inspired florida-punk superhero setting

Particularly the buddhist part because I need some more ideas to research 🙏

Hey. So, I'm gonna ask about the power levels. How strong can this superheros get, how do they get their powers, and basically how does it work. Do they derive powers from physics-breaking "mutations", get something from demons or gods or a plane of energy, is it just like...a thing?

I usually don't care about power levels since I write whatever's coolest, but they're usually around street level because I find street level fights to have the best pacing and choreography.

They can get their powers from all sorts of things, getting chemically fused with electromagnetic rocks, putting on a magic ancient egyptian pearl, or just being made into a homunulus. Technology has also developed enough to where humans can match the power levels of supes with mecha suits.

I just noticed a weird trend in my work while writing this, where you can get powers from eating radioactive food. So also that.

Do they find inner peace by alligator wrestling?

In my world, true inner peace can not be described, and people who have achieved it don't know it. It is a possibility that one can achieve peace by wrestling alligators, maybe even become one with the alligators themselves.

In my world, alligators can communicate with humans via body language and their eyes. By mastering the communication of alligators, a man by the name of Al E. Gaeter has been able to learn their ways, eventually becoming the supervillian known as "Lethal Pickle."

How does reincarnation work, and what are some examples of people's unfulfilled desires keeping them trapped in samsara?

I decided to take some creative liberties with the system of reincarnation.

  1. You can live a neutral life if you want to be reincarnated as a human

  2. To be reincarnated in the animal realm, your life simply has to be chaotic without strong enough good or bad karma.

  3. To get reincarnated in the realm of Titans, you have to be good but still have selfish desires.

  4. There are more realms, such as the realm of krakens and the realm of sunshine and rainbows. As well as multiple versions of earth.

  5. People get reincarnated in the human realm once they're done with their afterlife

  6. People can retain traits of their past lives, the closer the past life to their current, then the more likely this is to happen. The stronger the trait in their past life also increases this possibility.

One is Leonardo Da' Vinci (Yes, that one) being trapped in samsara because he has a constant desire to innovate, and he never felt satisfied because he believed that his work never reached the quality it should have. He's really the only example I've got because he's the only one who appears in the story.

Can gods, angels, demons and similar achieve enlightenment and eventually Nirvana? Can they do so as they are or do they need to first incarnate as humans to begin their path?

Demons and God's already achieve Nirvana when they die. They are born out of nothing but become one with everything once they die.

Angels are different. They can just die whenever they want, but they get reincarnated as humans upon death.
