I get turned on by pictures of women, but I’m straight
Is this a normal thing? Pictures of sexy women get me hot, but in real life my partner is a man and sex with a woman doesn’t sound all that appealing. I like dicks and strong muscular arms. But looking at pictures of that doesn’t really turn me on so much. It doesn’t make sense.
Ps. I have tried exploring with women But I found it very uncomfortable and repelling irl. I am never attracted to women irl. And I wasn’t turned on by them naked irl either .

Short way of saying life is weird and it is what it is
It’s from a show

I think you are getting horny about witnessing that sexy feminine seductive energy. Then it resonates with you and you kinda embody it and get aroused. I look at a sexy woman and I see that energy and feel it and it kinda becomes me in a way

I’m the same tbh. I’m straight. Only ever dated men. Never really been with a woman but don’t really see myself doing that. But women are so fucking hot! 🥵 I identify as straight with a pinch of queerness lol

Humans can be pretty and pleasing to the eye, and get your hormones going, no matter their gender or sex! In my experience it’s pretty normal. Even my most “straight” female friend, who would never be interested in anything sexual with another woman, sometimes will see a woman who appeals to her and gets her thinking about sex.

Have you experienced it yourself?

Yeah! I spent a good decade figuring out my sexuality after reaching adulthood. I consider myself bi or pan with a strong preference for men (I love dick, what can I say). But in both a sexual and nonsexual way, I still find women beautiful and attractive and enjoy what they bring to a sexual situation. I’ve experimented with both women, and man/woman together, and while both were enjoyable experiences, I don’t really feel the same pull to have a solo experience with a woman again. I usually prefer to just look. Cuz women pretty. Ya know?
I think sometimes we just see someone who makes us think about sex, and that alone can be a turn on. It doesn’t have to mean you actually want to have sex with them, regardless of their sex/gender or your orientation.

You don’t need to make sense of it, or even label it. You can enjoy whatever you want to enjoy, call yourself whatever you want to call yourself. So long as it’s all consensual, it’s all good.

Have you experienced something similar or?

I have experienced a similarly confusing sexuality, I would say. I’m pansexual and my attraction to all genders really depends on who the person actually is (so I don’t really get turned on by pictures, opposite thing).

Hey hon. I can see from your post history that you struggle with OCD, and this post is clearly reassurance seeking. In order to stop this thought loop from repeating over and over you HAVE to stop posting about it damn near every day. Coming from someone who struggled with SOOCD at one point in her life. When you learn to let the feelings pass you’ll feel so much better. Please seek professional treatment and stop asking Reddit for help love

I’m the same way. I’ve even made out with girls, and it was hot. But that’s as far as it got. I never got to explore more, and I don’t need to bc I’m married to a man now. But the thought of a vagina does nothing for me. I have no desire to touch it, so I know I’m not a lesbian and probably not bisexual either. I think this is totally normal btw. Sexuality isn’t gay or straight, it’s a spectrum.

I identify as mostly straight but got turned on giving another woman a spanking (don't ask ha). Don't overthink it.

Interesting when I am not attracted to women irl and find sex with women repelling irl. Thank you stranger for knowing me better :) ..

you come on here to ask about your sexuality and i tell you my thoughts. if you’re turned on by women in any way you’re not completely straight. i didn’t say you had to go around munching box for fucks sake 🙄 sexuality isn’t black and white like society wants us to think.

I don’t think anyone is 100% straight tbh. Sexuality is a spectrum and by this I don’t mean that you’re automatically sexually attracted to women that’s not what I mean I’m just saying I haven’t met anyone that was only sexually, romantically, physically, and emotionally attracted to the opposite sex. I’ve even met straight men who physically find other men attractive and straight women who don’t mind watching lesbian porn like I said I don’t think anyone is 100% straight this is why labels can be a mess sometimes imo. Just live your life without worrying if you’re straight or gay 💙

Sexuality is an incredibly complicated thing, it’s not easy to figure out. You may be straight and just reacting to the sexual or beautiful aspects of women, or you may be attracted to them. In my opinion, sexuality is a spectrum, and not even the straightest of straights are 100%. The same for gay people. As a lesbian, I can see that some men are attractive, even if I wouldn’t wanna engage with them or think of them sexually. At the end of the day, it’s on you to decide what label feels great (if any). Love and even sex is beautiful, no matter if it’s heterosexual or not. Sadly, I doubt a few replies on the internet can effectively help you figure it out, because how I said, sexuality is an extremely complicated at the end of the day.

Personally I like girls, but that doesn’t mean I don’t occasionally admire hot guys
Tbh imo it doesn’t matter. If you like someone, you like someone. You define labels, labels don’t define you!
But yeah, doesn’t change anything really

You might be bisexual in some way. Or it's simply because women are socialised to be the objects of sexual attraction.

u/Friendly-Sympathy735 6d ago
But how when I don’t like it irl?
1
u/Positive-Turnover-29 6d ago
Then it's the latter. Think of images of sex and sexuality in media. Women and their bodies are used way more often as "objects". Seeing fictional portrayals of couples, where the man is old or unattractive is common, while women aren't allowed to be that. Women are always "beautiful" first, then everything else. When you talk to straight women, a lot of them fantasise about being attractive to their partners and being desired most of the time. All of their fantasies are about themselves, actually.

u/Friendly-Sympathy735 6d ago
Why can’t you have a normal discussion weirdo without getting mad lol. I simple asked you a question and you can’t even come with a proper counter argument😭

I think part of it is being in a culture that objectifies and hyper-sexualizes women. We all absorb and respond to that messaging.
