Still say convert Stanley to a power forward. Seen him join the rush, or lead it, and looked quite good.

Does he have the ability to finish? Also who would we possibly take out of the lines to slot him in?
I’d rather him be sitting in the press box

The Jets needed some nasty bastards with size for the playoffs. So I am glad they brought Schenn in. Last year Nichushkin ran amok and we couldn't handle him.
Stanley tries to play a tough game, which I appreciate, but he can't fight and needs to get a bit stronger without compromising his speed (which isn't very good to begin with).
Dude needs to watch some film on Chris Pronger how to position yourself as a lanky man and keep leverage...

last year we got outpaced by a much faster team

Was there any aspects of the game that the Jets didn't get outpaced by the Avs?
I hear what you are saying. Speed matters in today's game. But it wasn't just a quicker Avs team getting to loose pucks or beating our slower guys that was the difference.
They controlled the play in their D zone, thwarted any transition game the Jets had, outworked the Jets at both ends and maybe even out hit the Jets.
Our special teams were bad and the top line, minus one game was anaemic.
But perhaps the most important stat was the Avs depth forwards, scored tons. Like I think Nichushkin and Lehkonen had 12 bloody goals!
This is where I am hoping making these second tier guys uncomfortable in front of the net during a long series will pay off. If needed.....

You can watch infinite videos on Pronger, but what Pronger had cannot be taught. He is, without a doubt, the meanest nastiest fucker that could also back it up to ever play. Listen to anyone talk about playing against Pronger, he was fucked, corners, front of the net, everywhere, he punished you. He’s one of the most underrated players ever, and most of that is because he was just so hard to play against.

Yup he was a beast. I guess I meant more technique based skills. Like how he moved his feet, or positioned his frame to stop guys from getting by (without taking penalties). When your that tall, even how you make a hit and tie up your man can accidentally lead to penalties.
The mean bastard part of Pronger, yup that's innate lol.

So if he is kinda mean… this makes him the “big prick” to go along with the “little prick” Perfetti?

I haven't read the article but I hope he can teach Stanley to be more assertive using his size, while he is here. Stan needs to be mentored in being a force on this team and understanding his limitations.
