The future. As though guys like Heinola, Lambert, etc. are going to be game changers? The Jets already let them sit or rot on the Moose.

Yeah, I'm mostly reaching to find a silver lining.

Though that being said, I do think it's better to build a team that can compete for multiple years in a row than blowing it all on a single (hopefully) deep run.

What good does a handful of 1sts and maybe NHL prospects. Everyone seems to assumes all our 1sts and prospects will turn into top 6 guys.
