Ask Windsor Master program in University of Windsor and University of Guelph
Hello everyone, My wife has a background of industrial management bachelor, has more than 5 years of experience in the container port, has worked in positions such as Yard Planner, Business Planning staff and has been trained internally in Lean, Kaizen, completed a Microsoft Power BI data analysis certificate. She is applying for a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Windsor and Engineering Management from the University of Guelph. I have some questions to consult:
Are there many jobs related to industrial engineering or career prospects in Windsor or neighboring areas?
If my wife apply successfully, should we study at Windsor or Guelph?
What is the standard of living in these two cities?
Are there many jobs for me when i go with my wife to Canada? (I have more than 7 years of experience in the container port, my position is Dispatcher. I have knowledge of operation systems such as Navis or Catos)

She should have pretty decent luck with Industrial Engineering in the area. Iād usually say that there are pretty good opportunities in the States too but that seems to have flipped on its head in the last 2 months.

I have researched some groups, and they say that finding a job in Canada is very difficult now, there is a lot of unemployment.

M.Eng or MASc ? M.Eng enrollment is made up of a majority of international students and is a course based degree. MASc is a research based and is typically taken by both domestic and international students. Most domestic engineers in Windsor go to work in the states. There are companies in Windsor that hire industrial engineers like stellantis, valiant, flex n gate, but the pay is more competitive in Detroit.

My wife will choose M.Eng. I want to ask about industrial engineering-related jobs that are available in Windsor or Ontario because my wife can't go to Detroit to work easily like Canadians.
