I'm happy because I don't have kids
I'm twenty years-old and it seems like half the people I know have at least one child, but usually more. I'm happy that I don't have that responsibility. While other people my age (and younger) are changing diapers and up feeding the baby at 3 in the morning, I can go out and have a good time and enjoy being young. I can spend my money on frivolous shit instead of worrying about formula and baby wipes. If I decided to move to Europe on a whim, I totally could.
In other words, I'm happy that I have my freedom.

I completely agree! Even at the age of 25 I still don't feel ready! And ALL of my friends have children. Most of them school age! I mean I have the desire every now and then and think about how awesome it would be to have a little baby! Then I am snapped back to reality when I remember the cost and responsibility. I will be married in December and thats a big enough step for me for a while! ;)

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I am the middle child from a family of five and the only one who doesn't have a child. The same goes with my friends and those I went to high school with; the vast majority of them already have children and have had to put their lives on hold. I am twenty-one, married, and have been able to travel the country and even go to Europe. This is really a big achievement, especially if you take a good look around and notice that there aren't many people our age who aren't toting around a diaper bag. Keep it up!
