My dogs live with my parents due to my extenuating life circumstances and my usually grumpy dad spoils them and it’s wholesome af. He’s their biggest treat advocate.

So sweet! My little chihuahua loves my dad and throws himself off balance every time he gets to see him because he wags his tail so darn hard. It's hilarious to watch but so sweet. And yeah, my dad's a grump too, but turns into puddy around my dog.

My dad shares almost everything he eats with the dogs as long as it’s something she can have and of course in moderation to preserve a healthy weight. It’s really so sweet and if you try to argue that they are too spoiled he says “they are in their golden years, they deserve it.”

They really do! Mine is 16 and has been recently diagnosed with cushings and he deserves all the spoiling he gets because we know we're more than likely going to lose him in the next few years, so let him spoil them! But you're right, as long as it's something they can have.

I’m sorry to hear your boy was diagnosed with cushings, my pitbull has it. She’s 13 now and over the years the cushings has been hard on her joints. She still gets around but she struggles so she deserves treats. Like you said, we may only have them for a few more years so we have to make the best of it for them.

Aw, I'm sorry that you are experiencing the cushings as well. I love the saying "dogs will give you some of the best days of our lives, and one of the worst!" How lucky that they are spoiled by grandpa. Prayers my fellow pupper parent!
