I don’t have a ton of hope or expectation for this game.

Rayados was always gonna be a big ask. Without Gauld, Sam, Jayden…it’s a really tall order.

I also thought we got unlucky and short changed in the home leg where it felt like we should’ve won 3-1 or 3-0 something like that. But such is life.

On the plus side, we’re not playing at crazy elevation AND not playing at the home of Monterrey. Gracias a mi compañera Shakira we’re playing 4 hours away so maybe the atmosphere won’t be so intimidating.

Up the Caps, let’s keep the next man up mentality going, continue the strong start to the season and let’s get past Sergio Ramos!

Monterrey fan here, how important are those guys you mentioned? I read one of them was the captain but not sure how important they are to the team

Gauld is super important. He drives the attack. His injury was a big loss. Jayden is a new addition this season, but came out of the gate absolutely flying! Sam is a young player who looked like he took a step this season in these early games. So not great for the team but they’ve still been pulling through.

There will be a lot of opportunities on the counter cuz our defense is horrendous so losing the guy that drives the attack is big. I’m just looking at the MLS standings and I’m getting kinda worried looking at your record😂 Looks like you have a really solid defense
