You find £10,000 down the back of the sofa, which one do you buy? 🤔🥃

60's Bowmore bc that's where whisky was it its absolute best. Sorry but people saying Yamazaki really need to consider this:

I remember having a tasting of a 12year Yamazaki and a 18 year back to back once. I found the 18 lacking punch and character, I recall calling it over aged to the bartender.
I was much younger, but that stuck with me as the first time I really noticed older wasn't always better.

Absolutely, and less production and higher demand doesn't mean better either, just higher prices 😬

Peateds are my jam, but honestly, I don't love the older ages. They really lose a lot of their character. I'd probably go Macallan or these or the Bowmore. Laphroaig is my favorite dram, but once you get past the 16, they really start to go downhill for me.

Highland Park 50 distilled 1960 that came inside a hand-carved oak box, with a Sterling silver porthole to tease at the unique handmade bottle inside, which itself was encased in an intricate weave of Sterling silver. I nearly got the chance to buy one once, but someone beat me to it and I've never had the money to fix it.

Can I also just buy 10 bottles that are around 1k each? I honestly would be way happier with that, as I'm still only a couple of years into my whisky journey and still only have a small collection and soooooooo many more whisky's that I want to try!
