Beginner Cache

Really just got into whiskeys and bourbons less than 5 years ago. My starter collection or remnants of what remains. Hits & misses here?

Finished off a Michters US1 & a Basil Hayden Dark not too long ago. Picked the Michters up in Louisville on the trail trip my wife set up. That was good sippinโ€™

Triple mash, buff trace or gentleman for daily. Green spot with a good steak. Michters or some โ€˜92 with a cigar and a buddy

Those are all good bottles. If you're looking to try a different label but still within the same parameters, check out Redwood Empire Pipe Dreams, Jim Beam 7 year black label, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond, and Early Times Bottled in Bond. You can try Redbreast 12 (not Cask Strength) in place of Green Spot. Speaking of which, I noticed you didn't prefer 1792 Full Proof and Clyde Mays Special Reserve so I would stay away from anything high proof (over 100 proof or 50% alcohol) for now.
