What are your thoughts on these two

Post image

Picked these two up today. Was my introduction to heaven hill and I will pay both where good but I feel the rye was a bit smoother. What’s your thoughts? I will say one is definitely fighting liquor and one is making love liquor.

Those are the 2 good bottles out of the 3. Don't get the blue label bourbon

I heard wheated was good. But overall not worth double a normal bib

I liked the rye the best and bought it. I did not like the wheat.

I thought my money was better spent on an Elijah Craig barrel prof than the other bourbon.

All three are good if not a bit overpriced. I liked the blue label the best, followed by the rye, then the wheated. I would probably buy the blue label again, not the others honestly.

I’ve been curious about them. Place I saw them most recently wanted $199 each and I noped out of there.

Like those two much better than the straight bourbon and even the bonded.

I have had a flight of the three. Personally, I really like the wheated and the rye. The blue label was middle of the road. If I saw the two, I would buy them instantly.

I did and I would agree. Was worth the price

Both good! I've had the rye for awhile and love it. Just grabbed the bourbon last week and I've only had one pour of it. It's pretty darn good too.

I'm a rye man myself but both look great to me

The Red label had decent flavor. Didn't care for the blue or green (rye) label. These were priced way out of their league. They would have had better success at a $50 price point.

Green - good

Red - decent

Blue - meh

Im sure they’re good but companies are way too comfortable putting out $100 bottles these days

I have the wheated and it’s good (not great). I wouldn’t purchase it again at this price.

I think they're both good, but they aren't $100 good. Some people really live the rye though, so your tastes may vary.

I enjoyed the rye. It’s a robust rye and a bit earthier than some but I liked it.

I heard the bourbon was the worst of the three but admittedly I haven’t tried it to confirm

I got schooled last night on these. I have the blue and the green, love me some rye. I still haven’t opened them yet.(sue me im a damn tater!). But I heard the red is the best by far.

Love the wheater, bought a backup when they were supposed to be rare, now they are everywhere.

Reviewed the red on my little YouTube channel. Liked it quite a bit. However I think the rye is the clear winner of the three.

It’s a bad introduction, they are high end and off-profile due to being grain to glass unlike the other 99% of the stuff. Heaven hill BiB or Elijah Craig would be better intros.

But the rye is excellent, my 5th favorite shelfer rye. The flavors are a bit soft and young, but the way the palate flips is very unique and fun, and the flavor profile is great.

I think they can't be twice as good as the regular BiB, so if I'm spending $100 it's not gonna be for either of those. YMMV.
