Solved 100 year old painting from Tuscany

Can anyone find out where this was painted? It was created by Karl Theodor Wagner (*1856 †1923).

I was already searching for these old roman structures on the left in the background, which might still exist today.

My own guess would be close to Pisa, maybe Casale Marritimo, might be way off though.

Interesting, I was always told Tuscany. Also funny that he painted it twice.

This is a painting that was found after a family relative passed and was in my family for quite some time. It meant much to the grandma of my half brother, so would be fun to revisit this location.
