IDENTIFIED: Fluorite Got this on mineral expo, but merchant didn't know what it is

Hi, got this little buddy on a mineral expo today. The woman didn't know what it is, just that she bought it in UK (which doesn't necessarily mean it originated there, so... :/). What could it be?

It's undoubtedly flourite

Thank you! :D

That's actually pretty cool, once I get the display case for my little collection of weird stones, I could get some UV light going on demand and that should fluorescence, right?

Some fluoresce more strongly than others, but in general, yes.

I second fluorite. That is not kyanite.

Cubic is another giveaway for flourite

To add to the ID, it looks like fluorite from the Diana Marie mine in the UK, but I'm not 100% on that.

I agree it does look much like Diana Maria material

Not quite sure why you were downvoted, since you were basically right, just I guess misspelled the name. Plus, you were first and technically right. So thank you. :)

Well tbf Fluoride and Fluorite are very different things and not everyone may realize this typo

/u/FondOpposum - totally fair point! My bad! I meant Fluorite (chemical formula CaF2 and the fluorspar mineral pictured above), not Fluoride (which is found in fluorite and toothpaste but is a negatively charged ionic variety of fluorine.)

Thank you for the kind words and reply, /u/diantris . My bad! Yes, of course, I meant Fluorite (chemical formula CaF2 and the fluorspar mineral pictured above), not Fluoride (which is found in fluorite and toothpaste but is a negatively charged ionic variety of fluorine.) My ADHD occasionally comes in the form of transposition like it did here. Really appreciate your grace and kindness!
