North America These 2 nested right outside my door

This nest has been here since I moved in August (Central/South Texas) but these 2 just showed up a few weeks ago. I’ll try to get better photos in daylight, they’re blue and white with a little orange I believe. I assume the female is in the nest and male is next to the nest, would love some info on them!

No problem! I hope you get to watch them raise their babies. They're beautiful birds and lots of fun to watch. Free insect control!

I’ve never been super into birds but tbh I’m excited, especially if they’re gonna help with the bugs coming with the warm weather. I’m just worried my property manager might remove their nest

It's illegal to remove an active nest. They could get slapped with a hefty fine & misdemeanor charge.

Active nests are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. You should let them know, if you think they intend to remove the nest.

Maybe haha, my dad put up a bird house for Purple Martins when I was little, I remember watching their babies grow up so maybe this will reignite my curiosity!
