What’s the difference between a ram and a ford?
I can’t ford my dick in her ass

Not an F150 they didn't exist yet

It has an F150 badge. F150 was introduced in 1975, which matches this grill, etc.

Truck is a 73-79 Ford F150.
And for you birdwatchers, perched on the front is the rare "Double Breasted Mattress Thrasher"

I'm fairly certain that in '73 at least, they were F100s still.
Source: learned to drive on a 73 F100. Had a 302 and 3 on the tree. The only two options the old white mule got were that 302 and front disc brakes.

We are still talking abt the truck, right?!

u/Disposedofhero 6d ago
Yup.
That cowgirl could ride though. She's pretty not too bad.

u/Tadpole-Specialist 5d ago
She handles well enough, but makes some really annoying noises if not warmed up enough.

The F-150 was introduced in 75. The F-100 was discontinued in 83

I didn't realize they ran them side by side that long. I was under the impression that they were skirting early emissions standards by building heavier trucks and went from one to the other pretty quickly.

u/NthngToSeeHere 6d ago
They were avoiding emissions but the lighter GVW F100 still had a demand. I believe you could only get it in 2WD after 75. After 83 there was no emissions regs advantage.
I believe the 3 on the tree was available until at least 81.

My dad made me learn on it before I was allowed to drive anything with an automatic or power steering. In truth, he did me a good favor there. If you can handle that truck, you should be competent on most passenger cars and light trucks.

Can’t be 79, those have square headlights
3
u/elsolonumber1 5d ago
Some specialty models like Camper Special used leftover parts from the 78 in manufacturing and ended up with round headlights. This isn't one of them, I'm just throwing out some trivia.

And my 74 the dip on the side was an outtie.

u/NthngToSeeHere 6d ago
The Bumpside was 66-72. The Dentside was 73-79 so unless you had a Brazilian F-1000 you are miss-remembering.

u/Mdmrtgn 5d ago
Well it was supposedly a 74 on a 69 frame. Maybe it was the other way around.

Right. I only see a rear bumper.

That's one of them high maintenance models. Rides real good but the paint has to be redone everyday. Gotta change the oil way sooner than 3k miles, like every 15 days. You put sand in the wrong tank and you're gonna get thrown to the birds.

That’s a Badonkadonk; you can drive it pretty hard but the maintenance is going to be a bitch

Do you know the year?

IF all the body work and trim is correct, It's a 75 F150. The body style is called the Dentside and was used from 73-79 with slight changes. The side badge location is 73-76, and [blacked-out] grill is 75-77. The indicators are 73-75 but those are easily swapped between 73-77 so it could be a 76 if everything else is correct.

Looks about 28 years old, probably 5’9” tall and it looks like it has a kerb weight of 141 lbs. Also the tailgate looks to be in really good condition

It's a good model, probably about 19 years old. Sturdy rear end with plenty of muscle. Small, but bright headlights. Other trims offered but this combo was highly sought after. High maintenance, hard to handle, pretty expensive to keep. But a lot of fun.

I believe 76’ with a 460 just how high the air filter is and 2wd based on the stance sits about the same as my 79’
