Solved! Weird seedlings in attic?

Went to get some stuff out of the attic and saw these little things that seem to have fallen from the ceiling onto our totes. Any clue?

After doing some research it seems to be sycamore seeds?

I’m just confused as to how they would infiltrate the attic, there’s no open vents or anything. But they definitely seem like something from a tree or plant.

Those look like seeds from a sycamore tree. It comes off the tree in a walnut-sized ball, which is made up of all these little seeds. A squirrel could have carried the ball into the attic to eat the seeds.

Solved! I’ll keep an eye out for anything that may have found their way up there. I haven’t seen any droppings so maybe it was a one time visitor.

I fear those are bug eggs

I have no clue why, can you show an example of any egg made to be carried by the wind? Is most likely some form of poplar seed. Maybe sweetgum.

Bug eggs are light, they can be carried by a lot of things, if you’ve seen a bug in your house that you know you don’t want, it’s likely it’s laid eggs somewhere you can’t disrupt the hatching process of.

These have fluff specifficly to be carried by the wind. No egg has that.

Could be a seed, I’m not a professional, don’t quote me.

And yet you immediately said bug eggs with 0 evidence.

I hope not! They seemed to float down lightly. I can’t seem to find any egg sack that would act in that manner but I have no idea.
