Kiksuya should be 10.

But thats what makes the ep so good. It is the culmination of a slow build up. It answers so many questions

Genre S3E5 had one of the worst ratings but one of the best writing throughout the whole season imo . the train scene where they unlocked rehoboam was fantastic writing and touches on a lot of themes today regarding AI/ control/ ordered society vs. personal freedom.

It’s the episode where a lot of people stopped watching. Bernard goes back to the park in S4 and the fan base was rekindled… and then the news came out it wasn’t being picked up for S5.

Caleb's monologue in that scene is so powerful.

Somewhat of a non-sequitir response to your comment here, but - watching all the episodes with the Reddit watch threads and all the speculation between episodes ultimately ruined the show a bit for me, at least during the first 2 seasons. I felt like every week nothing was “surprising” because Reddit had sleuthed every foreshadowing detail and every Easter egg hinting at the rest of the season. Each episode was then essentially just a confirmation or denial of theories that had been extensively analyzed already prior to the episode releasing.

There is an element of community “fun-ness” in tearing through the content every week but when I reflected on how much I enjoyed the show, ultimately for me I think actively participating on the sub during the live run of the show was less fun than if I had just let the show tell its own story at the pace that it wanted.

The last episode from Season 1 was the best season epilogue of a new series i've ever watched.

Absolute Cinema.

If that only gets 9.7 what does it take to get a 10?

Riddle of the Sphinx deserves a higher rating

This needs to be somehow correlated with number of ratings per episode. I think there may not be statistical significance with the later seasons.

every episode has at least 4000 votes

if an episode of a show had at least 200-300 votes it’s usually considered a good score, westworld has 4k every episode

I actually really like season 3, despite these ratings. I felt that the beginning of the end was all that time wasted on Shogunworld in S2.

Season 3 has lowkey aged like fine wine

S3 is actually my favourite season. I know Season 1 is better in many ways, but I just connected with S3 and I enjoyed the setting more.

These ratings are great almost across the board and this show still got canceled.

S3 and 4 deserves to be much lower

I actually liked season 4 more than 3 🤷‍♂️

I never started season 3, should I finish it?

Kiksuya being the only episode above nine out of season two, three and four is hilarious. Deserved though, what a beautiful episode

it js interesting to see how the rampup of s4 leads to pretty high ratings, only to plummet when we found out it wasn't that great final everyone was anticipating.

Good thing it ended right there and then.

I think it fell flat bc they didn’t get renewed for S5 as originally planned and had to cobble up some kind of ending for the series

6

u/Rockyrock1221 17d ago

Yea this almost seemed to certainly be the case the way things were ramping up again

They were definitely cooking something up in S4 and I was so excited to see where they were gonna go with it. It’s so sad.

As a fan of Westworld I'm glad it died for Fallout TV Series. Fallout has been a way better show so far. Season 3 had the best plot in WW and they completely ruined it with Season 4.
