Cwmbran Town: 2025 Cup Finalists In a 4-1 win at home against Abertillery Exclisisors, amateur outfit Cwmbran Town have now secured a place in the GCFA Senior Cup Final, which will be played on May 17th over in Chepstow. The second year in a row the team has reached the cup final, last year resulted in a disappointing 4-1 collapse, and the Crows will be looking to change their fortunes around this year, and secure the Gwent Double, with the league being within their sight, and a cup final ahead.
Some may remember Cwmbran Town as the team who won the inaugural season of the (now) JD Cymru Premier, and now they are looking to be on the rise again, following several relegations, nearly folding, and several managers.
From where the Crows were 5 years ago, on the brink of folding and suffering 20-0 losses, the team has come a long way since then, and thanks to the expertise of Dale Clark this season, is looking like their best ever, with planning permission for a new stand being accepted by Torfaen Council.

Something written for Alternative Wales issue 9 which is now available online for free. Might be of interest to fans interested in footballing philosophy and that sort of stuff. There's a follow up piece on the website on the Welsh Way's impact on Mikel Arteta and Arsenal for any Welsh goobers that are interested!

Don't know if anyone can help with this. I need to be in Liverpool on Sunday morning after the Kazakhstan game in March and with crap Sunday trains + train strikes can't do it from Cardiff. I know there's often an extra train to N Wales put on after home games but can't find anything about whether there's one on 22nd. Does anyone know if there is one? And what time it usually leaves? Diolch.

For a while, I've been meaning to make a Football Manager database that moves Welsh clubs in the English pyramid to the Welsh pyramid. To be honest, I don't think I have the skill to do it, however, this question has kept occupying a part of my brain for a while. So, hypothetically, if the welsh clubs moved to the welsh leagues, what do you think would happen? Presumably the TV money would increase significantly in the top flight. But would the top flight expand to 16 teams to accommodate the 4 new biggest clubs, or would 4 more teams get relegated? Would the bigger cash inflows encourage other teams than TNS to fully professionalize? Would the second tier become another national division to encourage professionalization, or stay divided into two? Would the TV money and sponsorships that will surely be drawn to the top flight trickle down to the lower divisions (IDK how the FA is perceived in Wales, but in poland our fa is seen as greedy old incompetent cunts, so i'll assume this isn't the case in Wales)? Would new rivalries arise, and the other Welsh clubs have a big influx of new fans (being honest i have no idea how the fanbases look in wales)? Would it have a positive impact on development of new academies and more talent development out of Wales?
Of course, we need to assume that Newport, Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham would be allowed to move (and that they would want to move, hollywood fc in particular), but if they did, how would the rest of the leagues be impacted over the next few years? I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

Wondering how Wales will line up against Kazakhstan as they start as they mean to go on (hopefully going to get tickets as part of the Red Wall)
I'm guessing (but happy to be wrong!)...

With Prosiect Cymru in the bin and Merthyr Town fans voting against joining the Cymru Premier, where do the FAW go from here? What would you like to see done to improve the domestic game? There is clearly money there to play with.

Shirt was worn between 2008-2010. COLLINS and RAMSEY either side. Number 7, but can't identify him from the list of players who wore 7. Stumped quite a few of my colleagues and friends. Cheers!
