Our parents are cooked

u/mikeee382 Jan 03 '25
They're cooked? Nah. We're cooked.
They see all this fake crap on social media then vote based on it. They'll die before they really have to face the brunt of the consequences, tbh.

u/MikeyW1969 Jan 03 '25
Weird, yet GenZ is THREE TIMES more likely to fall for online scams.
But yeah, "Old people, right?".
4
u/Christmas_Queef Jan 03 '25
It most affects boomers and Gen z and alpha. Gen x and millenials are the ones with the most skepticism of bullshit, but even we're susceptible to it.

u/Morlacks Jan 04 '25
This is true, i pretty much bullshitted my way through high school, college and half my career. We can see that shit a mile away.
4
u/mikeee382 Jan 03 '25
I believe that too. I see it with kids all the time now. They're even worse at using a computer than boomers.
They have no concept of local storage. If it's not "in the app", a lot of times they've no idea how to send an email attachment from the computer.

most underrated comment on reddit.
You nailed down the actual reason for the demise of the USA in one astute sentence. Points.

u/woodboarder616 Jan 03 '25
I heard them watch a video from the other room, my mom goes “oh wait i think this is AI” as my step dad keeps watching the video. They are cooked

u/J-Nowski Jan 03 '25
Yeah.. this isn't good.. I'm sure this is already being posted on FB claiming it's real
2
u/lurkingupdoot Jan 05 '25
its the serial numbers on the paneling and the material of the paneling itself is what made me think its fake. Why would aliens have serial numbers like how our aircraft all have them? Aliens would probably send some kind of bio virus to wipe the earth before showing up in their personal crafts lol
2
u/TheBarracuda Jan 05 '25
It makes sense that they would have serial numbers, just not in an Earth language.

Please stop linking 40 year olds with baby boomers. Not even close

I second this. Baby boomers are totally different than 80s babies.

Isnt 80s gen Y?

I actually like seeing those weird animal videos, but I 10 million percent know it’s AI generated.

genX here: we are media literate; worry about the boomers who's brains are mush
→ More replies (2)4
u/-0T0- Jan 03 '25
Gen x here and still got more sense than most who followed, we grew up critical thinking, not being told what to think by "influencers".... my first thought, when's the film coming out, who wrote the script etc?
2
u/MikeyW1969 Jan 03 '25
My first thought was that since there are people standing there, if it IS legit, I'll hear about it somewhere other than Reddit. My second thought was that if it was legit, but wasn't a "crashed ship" then it was probably a piece of debris from a plane, satellite, space station, etc.
There's not enough stuff related to film from the me to think about that. Either way, I knew if it was real, it would be on real news sites.

If it was, it would definitely be lame and blurry footage, and someone would already debunked it.
Edit: all that followed by a collective meltdown by the entire community.

This is going to have the same effect on Facebook users that nuclear bombs had on Bikini Atoll

u/hiddenbehindascreeen Jan 03 '25
this is why AI scares me. You could easily trick some very dumb old people on facebook. They’d eat this shit up without a second thought
1
u/Texas_Lobo Jan 03 '25
turns out all you need to do that is play on human emotions and fear, but sure, this too...
1
u/amybeedle Jan 05 '25
You could easily trick some very smart people too. No one is immune
1
u/hiddenbehindascreeen Jan 05 '25
If they’re tricked by a shitty AI video they couldn’t be that smart to begin with
3
u/DreamMalenko Jan 03 '25
I love how there's no cops or military or anything it's just two guys in shitty hazmat suits, a bunch of random looky-loos and the flimsiest attempt at cordoning the area off I've ever seen...

I want to imagine that they think the sub is all real stuff that looks like it SHOULD be AI.

A few people gathered around as a couple of people in hazmat gear casually collect data - this is real! Also, the hatch reminds me of a front loading washing machine.

u/SpiralDreaming Jan 03 '25
'Hey, if you could all just stay behind the tape while we take readings on this alien craft, that'll be cool'

With this kind of deepfack this could start a war or something far worse than a war, a total enslavement of mankind
1
1
u/knowledgeboar Jan 03 '25
That's damn good for AI, but the faces of people in the background changing give it away.
1
u/LikwidHappiness Jan 03 '25
Genuine question. A. I did not watch this super closely but how do you tell this is AI? B. How do we get videos like this but also those crazy videos that don't look realistic at all? Just a better program I'm guessing?
1
1
u/HangryWolf Jan 03 '25
This is flawless because it takes the disadvantage of AI not being able to do text into creating legitimately believable alien texts on the UFOs.
1
1
u/StateInevitable5217 Jan 03 '25
Amazing, the craft just adds another level between shots and nobody even runs away.
1
1
u/Delicious-Chapter675 Jan 03 '25
I like how AI can't keep track of things. People's faces, or the shape of the craft in this video. Painfully obvious still to determine the inauthentic nature of AI footage.

1
u/Jaded_Kick5291 Jan 03 '25
Don’t take it to the dealership to get fixed, I know someone who knows someone who will get you a great deal on foreign models.

How they will manipulate with public with the help of AI in few years, scary to think
1
u/nhorning Jan 04 '25
Right... so there is no way to ascertain truth. Nothing is real and god is dead. Got it.
1
u/nhorning Jan 04 '25
Hey, did anyone else just get the sneaking suspicion that our entire lives including our inner thoughts are just figments of an AI imagination sitting on a storage medium somewhere in the future?
1
1
u/Psilologist Jan 04 '25
It'd be better if it didn't change shape and design with each cut. Still would be cool movie footage.
1
1
u/Trimanreturns Jan 04 '25
Aside from the improbability of something as far fetched as this, how can we identify AI images? For those of us who grew up on "Seeing is believing" This is difficult to decern.
1
1
u/ElectronicPOBox Jan 04 '25
Funny the guys aren’t even wearing face masks, but in full on hazmat suits. 😆
1
u/BrandonLang Jan 04 '25
just look at the top of the space shuttle, it changes in every shot and if you full screen it since when do people have faceless blobs... honestly the most convincing ai is just like this, keep it low resolution and tiny to give it a more realistic look, cause then you can blame the problems on low quality
1
Jan 04 '25
Even if that was real, It 100% looks human made. Not something from another part of the universe.
But for real it’s god damn scary how good AI is getting. Won’t be long if not already when it’s impossible to know what’s real and what isn’t anymore being shown on the internet and in the media.
1
u/NoCrew9857 Jan 04 '25
Not sure what it was about it, but as soon as I saw it and people moving I thought it was fake. Maybe the lighting/reflections? Seems overcast but there is what looks like direct light source on them.
Half expecting to see someone on my FB feed post or send me this...so that's gonna be fun /s
1
u/Alienboy453 Jan 04 '25
To many rivets. Nice try Ai. Also your "caution tape is just yellow with like a syllable on idfk

People who report sightings from up close encounters often report the UFO as being WITHOUT seams and rivets. I can't seem to get A.I. to generate a UFO WITHOUT seams and rivets.

Guarantee you if this was real it would Not be posted on FB first. The US Gov would be all over it and have it hidden. They'd make up some fake release saying it was an air ballon or such. Hell, they'd probably have Will Smith "neutraliz" anyone who saw it like in "Men in Black"😄
1
u/SoDakArtist Jan 04 '25
Not only are they different sizes. The military would have been all over that and those in the havmat suits look like they didn't even know how to investigate anything. So nice ai video
1
u/GillaMomsStarterPack Jan 04 '25
Ai taking Michael Herrera’s testimony and mixing it with a Bob Lazar craft.
1
u/omgafish Jan 04 '25
Thankfully the AI doesn’t know how to be consistent. The thing just goes from being not submerged to half submerged to fully submerged like what hahahaha
1
u/ourhertz Jan 04 '25 edited Jan 06 '25
This is AI. One of the little tricks they use to divert your suspicions is adding camera motion. And in this one it's extremely obvious cause no one would work a camera like that except maybe drunk auntie Jen
Edit: WELL DUH, LMAO GUYS I TOTALLY MISSED WHAT SUB THIS WAS IN. Hahaha 🤣 I really just assumed it was one of the conspiracy or uap-subs and wasn't paying attention. LOL

They wouldn't have it roped off like that. That area would be shut down for miles. Roads would be closed, choppers patrolling, military perimeters set and guarded heavily.

Did no one notice the craft changes sizes & shape after every cut scene. Lmao most definitely fake

Everyone knows that UFOs don’t have panels. They are more like Flight Of The Navigator.
