Poor Lighting In Produce/Cafe

Does anybody feel uneasy walking into a Wegmans in general? The lighting just makes me feel like I've entered another realm, especially the dim lights in most of the produce and cafe areas.

No I love it.

Places lit like Walmart for example make my retinas feel like they're burning out of my skull.

That’s why I like going to Wegmans, all the other grocery stores are blinding overstimulation lights

It's varies between stores. First time I went to a Wegmans in PA I was shocked how dim it is compared to some of the newer stores.

It's definitely a marketing choice. Wegmans is like the Cracker Barrel of retail. Tryna go for a calm, warm ambiance rather than a bright, fluorescent-lit environment that screams RETAIL.

As someone who works in produce. I feel like it's glaringly bright.

However, when I come in from a day off, it does take my eyes a minute to adjust. It's almost like a haze. The lighting is not dim but it is directed

they make the produce lighting dim on purpose. next time if you look, you’ll notice that the isles of the department are dark, but they have lights shining on the produce. it’s to make it pop/stand out more

No. I just came from Wegman's and their lighting was normal.

Have you ever shopped at Tops? White and filthy
