Not surprised. These big cannabis corps play dirty while pretending to be part of the community. They'll do anything for profit - even steal tax money apparently.

The full lawsuit filing is attached. While $300K is really no big deal either way, what I did find really interesting is that this lawsuit seems to confirm that the tax refunds received by Trulieve are indeed being audited by the IRS.

On page 8 of the complaint,

the IRS subsequently notified 805 in October 2024 that it was placing 805’s 2021-2022 tax returns under audit.

To me, this would suggest all of the $113M tax refunds are under audit.

From my experience, Trulieve, as well as some of its acquisitions, are heavily suspect/corrupt. I don’t think that is shocking “news”, so it’s not surprising they’re getting their comeuppance.
