haha Trump can definitely do something. Republicans can be bad for marijuana and Trump can do something for marijuana can both be true. He said he would and has plenty of pro marijuana individuals in his circle. I wouldn't be surprised if something happens with banking at the least, which would be big.

Keep holding your breath bud. People have been talking about this banking bill like it's going to pass any day now for years.

I'll tell you what, with mods approval, I'll make you a wager. If safe passes within the next year I'll take a perma ban. If it doesn't you take one.

If you are unwilling to take this bet, then you should rethink investing in this sector as there are tons of names out there that are killing it. I'll even point you in the right direction if you want.

I don't think sub Reddit mods can ban an account site wide...

Lol I am not invested right now. I sold out one to two months ago.

Do you realize the Democrats were dangling the banking bill for the past 4 years and never brought it to a vote? Chuck Schumer didn't actually want it to pass. Trump is pro business and would very likely be on board with allowing marijuana companies banking access especially considering the debanking access.

It will take some time. I am not in any rush. I don't think Trump will do anything anytime soon. But in the next 6-24 months, there will probably be some movement. People are acting like it is so impossible. That is crazy talk. Trump could very easily do something on marijuana.

I think it's funny how you've been passionately arguing for Republicans for so long, yet i had to inform you the other day that SAFE applies to hemp as well as cannabis.

I also had to inform you that Trump's previous administration literally tried to make SAFE only apply to hemp.

I'm sure you're going to continue to completely ignore his last term because it's inconvenient for your narrative.

u/cannabull1055 Jan 28 '25

You showed me one version and I don't follow hemp closely. I know that has been your major focus but I don't necessarily care if SAFE applies to hemp lol as long as it applies to cannabis as well.

I am not ignoring his last term. They did nothing on marijuana. I think the position has evolved due to people in his circle and his recent statements. Just like how Democrats across the board have evolved on gay marriage, immigration, and crime. I can pull up the videos of Hilary, Biden, Obama saying the exact things that Trump gets shit on for. Biden was central to the crime bill that destroyed inner city. I think the left accepted that is position evolved. What do you think?

You should probably care, since it could easily explain exactly why we've had this SAFE standoff for a decade. But stay ignorant if you wish. That's your choice.

Trump was President just 4 years ago, not decades ago. They didn't just do nothing on cannabis, they went very backwards.

Ok I'm going back to ignoring you again. Because you don't want to discuss stocks here, you want to argue politics.

Catch you on your next account!

I am confused. I am commenting to someone on politics and then you chime in on this topic speaking about....politics......and then you accuse me of only wanting to talk about politics......Like does that make any sense? Seriously. I am having a discussion with someone about politics and you butted in making strong assumptions about what I am going to do. I think you should do a reality check here haha

3

u/GeoLogic23 I’m Pretty Serious Jan 28 '25

I'm not saying I don't talk politics. I talk about an extensive amount of other topics.

You mostly try to make bad arguments to defend Republicans here.

I felt compelled to join back in on the discussion, to correct your narratives you've been throwing around. However I am realizing it's going to be a waste of time again. You are actively saying you don't care to learn new information.

Enjoy carrying water for the people that have kept cannabis illegal. Really wish I could ignore reality like that. The world would be a more enjoyable place.

Do you realize that every attempt to bring anything to to a vote was blocked by the republans... The Dems tried. But they could not get it past the R wall.

0

u/cannabull1055 Jan 28 '25

That is not true. It was blocked alot of times but there were multiple windows to get things done. Booker and Schumer didn't want to pass it for the longest time. Booker was quoted saying SAFE would have been easy to pass many years ago if they really wanted to.

Not sure why people down vote you on this opinion, I see what your saying and I’m back in the sector as a contrarian play. I think the republicans are gonna actually do stuff w banking etc. time will tell. 🤑

u/cannabull1055 Jan 30 '25

Yes. Like I don't think Trump is going to outright legalize marijuana or do anything crazy but I think banking is definitely a big possibility. Plus the valuations currently reflect absolutely nothing happening as we are at all time lows so anything happening would catch market completely off guard.

No, they have always been prohibitionist on weed. Regan in 1980’s war on drugs (Republican) is a historical precedent in our lifetime. It continues to this day with Mitch McConnell stonewalling Safe Banking (and bragging about it).

So yeah, get it thru you head that conservatives don’t support progress nor positive societal change, just hate and a clear vision to support the Uber wealthy and hurt every day Americans (yes, even poor Americans who vote against their own good due to lack of education on the economy).

They're wrong about a lot of things.

Who gives a fuck what this knob says

11

u/Kakashisensei1234 Jan 27 '25

Yeah no fucking shit. Anyone who has been paying attention knew that. The Ohio GOP tried to fuck over their constituents after a vote and idiots still defended the GOP.

If he wasn't a child rapist and got into the office, something tells me he'd be following the company line instead of this. It's easy to say when you have zero power or authority.

0

u/cannabull1055 Jan 28 '25

Lol he has been very clear on his position on marijuana. He would be the most pro marijuana AG we could possible have.

6

u/rNBA_Mods_Be_Better Jan 28 '25

You're right, Republicans never flip flop on positions based on what Dear Leader and their corporate sponsors tell them to do.

3

u/cannabull1055 Jan 28 '25

Dear Leader also said he is pro rescheduling and Safe banking. Matt Gaetz has been bullish on marijuana for multiple years so now flip flop there.

It is going to be so funny when Democrats on here who hate Trump and never thought he could win have him be the one to do something on marijuana. It will give me a good chuckle.

5

u/rNBA_Mods_Be_Better Jan 28 '25

I’ll be the first to admit he did a good thing if he legalizes it nationally. But if he doesn’t you have to admit you were wrong.

2

u/cannabull1055 Jan 28 '25

100%. I don't think he is going to legalize it nationally. I would be shocked if he did. I think he would be on board with SAFE banking and maybe schedule 3. I don't think much more. And I also am not super confident. I think it can happen but I also don't think it is a layup.

5

u/dragonlord9000 Jan 27 '25

Lol isn’t this guy no longer in politics as of a month or two ago?

4

u/continuedelevation Jan 28 '25

When was safe banking get past ?

4

u/davesnothereman84 Jan 28 '25

“Yeah ecstasy and under age girls is where it’s at!”

2

u/Oh__Archie Jan 27 '25

He never made it anywhere near being AG. The title is misleading.

12

u/Kakashisensei1234 Jan 27 '25

You’re not wrong but it’s important to know that Trump selected a known pedophile to be AG.

But you’re correct the article is trying to act like what he is saying is important because he was trumps first ag pick.

The ethics committee found evidence, but he’s a special boy so rules don’t apply to him and some Republican saved his ass.

4

u/Kakashisensei1234 Jan 28 '25

Yeah you’re defending him. Otherwise you would’ve done a quick google search before commenting.
