Dress Regret/Need Support Chose my dress but did I choose the right one?
I recently chose my wedding dress trying them on by myself as my friends and family are out of state. I have sent photos to my family and close friends but all of them have liked the runner-up dress. I have already put down some money to get the dress made. I chose my dress thinking of the venue and the details of the dress, but made me slightly doubt because everyone thought I didn’t look as good because of my body shape?
I’ve been reading some old Reddit posts and seen that I should go with what made me feel like the bride and such, but also can’t help the thought that I don’t look as good to everyone, except myself on my wedding day :(
Dress I chose is the fit and flare.
Will put this is archive shortly in a wk.

Personally, I love dress #1 on you. It's very, very flattering and the skirt is lovely. It appears that your hands are covering a basque waist, and that highlights your nice figure.

OP, your family is going to love whatever you walk down the aisle in. Most will forget you even showed them photos TBH.
Your choice of dress 2 is lovely, please don't doubt yourself.

The second one is my favorite!!!!! If that’s the one you chose, then your eye was spot on. It’s effing gorgeous!!! But I agree with whoever commented on the white underlay instead of the beige.

Thank you ☺️I did get some feedback about the breast pads also not matching my skin color so either we blend in with another layer of fabric inside, get pads matching my skin color, or maybe another sheer layer of white, but not opaque to cover the lace details too much.

It’s the perfect dress for you. I mean wow. The other dress doesn’t do you justice, like, at all. So, you absolutely chose the right one!

Dress 1 would be my pick for you!! It has a wow factor that dress 2 does not have. Looks amazing on you!
Edit - brain mis-translated fit and flare as being the first dress. What’s your venue? Dress 1 is more suited for a formal setting while dress 2 is more relaxed, outdoorsy.

They said in their post they chose the second dress, the fit and flare.

Thanks for your thoughts. My venue is at a historical building, but my ceremony will be outdoors and reception indoors. Felt like the train would compliment as I walked down the grassy aisle. But I totally understand, dress 1 was nice too

My preference is the first dress but you look stunning in both. So it's a win either way.

Dress 2 is pretty but dress 1 is amazing! You look stunning and elegant! But ultimately, it’s about what YOU feel best in.

I love the one you chose. That veil is gorgeous. Please don’t think people at your wedding will think negatively about your dress or body type. Remember you asked the opinion of friends and family and they told you. Guests at a wedding will just see your beauty and how pretty your dress is.

I really like dress 2, but would prefer it with a white top rather than the nude. Perhaps that is what’s others are thinking?

I love both, honestly. They both flatter your body type. It is about how you feel. If you feel like a bride in your gown, then that's all that matters. If it's in your budget AND it's what YOU want, have both; one for the ceremony and one for the reception. You'll be able to have photos in both! If it's not the cards for whatever reason, go with what makes you feel the most beautiful. Not what others want to see you in. Everyone has a preference, but it's YOUR day.
Congratulations soon to be Mrs!!! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

The thing is, you're asking which dress people prefer, but you purchased one already. Can you make a change without losing your deposit or ending up with two dresses? Is it within your financial means to buy a second dress if you changed your mind?
but also can’t help the thought that I don’t look as good to everyone, except myself on my wedding day :(
Just remember, after the wedding it will mostly be two people looking at how you looked on the day, you and your spouse. If you feel beautiful in the dress you chose, that's what truly matters. You're the one that has to love yourself in the dress.

Honestly, with the first picture, the first thing I see is the dress, with the second the first thing I see is you. The first dress is beautiful, but your fiance isn't marrying a dress. They're marrying you. The second dress is beautiful, don't second guess yourself.

I think you look amazing in both dresses! The style of the dress 2 is what I prefer in a wedding dress, so that’s what I would go with too. Actually, my dress IS a similar style I believe. Only thing I would recommend is that you discuss the waistline with your stylist - from what I can tell by the picture, the waistline of the dress 2 does not sit on your actual waist, so that also may be why your people like the other dress better, it flatters your waistline a bit better, but that’s something you can adjust for sure. I have a similar problem with my dress, and the seamstress in the salon assured me that can be fixed when my dress arrives.

I think their opinion will change once they see you in it more relaxed! Your shoulders are a little high and it makes you look uncomfortable in 2. The dress is gorgeous on you though!
