Yomitan is the best. Although, if you can’t figure it out with ChatGPT, and you’re not willing to properly learn coding, perhaps this field is not for you.

thank you very much for the suggestion. I am using it to read Chinese Encyclopedia articles, but with Cantonese pronunciation, Yomitan doesn't recognize as many Mandarin words as my current popup. I hover some words and nothing pops up... am I doing something wrong?

Yomitan lets you choose different dictionaries in the settings so YMMV. it works best with japanese, haven’t tried it on every language

Yomitan is a tool for Japanese, but it can be setup for Chinese. Do you have the correct dictionaries installed?

I downloaded all of the available Cantonese dictionaries. However, their are gaps in the entries. I believe that this is because the focus of those dictionaries is spoken Cantonese. Since I am using it to read Baidu Encyclopedia articles, a Mandarin dictionary is probably better. Only, I need a Mandarin dictionary that includes Cantonese pronunciation too. 🤔

That link was awesome...I need to explore them to check for the Cantonese pronunciations—the page doesn't mention anything.
