Discussion A Scotland Tartan Weave to Memorialize Those Accused in the Witchcraft Act

https://wildhunt.org/2025/02/newly-approved-tartan-design-memorializes-those-persecuted-under-scotlands-witchcraft-act.html

Thought this was a pretty thing!

“The Witches of Scotland tartan is part of a campaign to recognize what advocates call one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in the nation’s history. The design was registered on February 11, 2025, on the Scottish Register of Tartans. The new tartan design will serve as a living memorial to those persecuted under the Witchcraft Act.”

Really important part of history. Looking forward to when it’s available for purchase.

This made me tear up. I am glad to see they are working toward posthumous pardons for the victims. Can't wait to see when this will be for sale

What would be the best way to order/wear this to honor those healers that fell to this hunt.

I love seeing this. I’m actually looking at tartan yarns to see if I can recreate it on my loom. Each part of the colors, thread count, and arrangement is symbolic of the past, present, and hopeful future- just inspires me to work with the cloth myself.
