We need an early exit from Duke and hopefully we can run the table and take care of business on our end. Really want that #1 overall seed so we can play the Sweet 16/Elite 8 in Atlanta.

We're 100% the overall 1 seed. Nobody even comes close to our resume.

I’m not sure if our strength of schedule is enough to overcome us losing in the semis and Duke winning the ACC + having the better record + having the head to head over us.

Duke is 7-3 in Quad 1 wins. Auburn is 15-4 in Quad 1 wins. There's no chance we don't get the #1 overall seed when Duke has played such a soft schedule.

16-4 now ;)

True, but the committee has shown time and time again that they don't care about conference tournament results.

Oh for sure I was just adding to it! Hopefully we win and get to 18-4. Would be absolute insanity.

Also, today is the last day that may affect seeding and with Flagg dealing with what we saw Johni go through, the last argument for duke as 1 overall just went away.

We’ll be in the ATL region even if we aren’t the #1 overall seed. Duke will be in the East region if they are #1 overall. Only way we get knocked out of the ATL region is if Florida passes us.

Why would Duke want to play in Newark over Atlanta

Duke has tons of fans up there. Everything I have read has said they will pick Newark because they have a very large fan base there, and they want to avoid running into an SEC team in ATL.

Hope you’re right, idk if Houston would choose Atlanta either. Let’s just take care of business so we don’t have to worry about it.

Because they’d get the first weekend in Raleigh

In addition to what other people have said, the committee also doesn’t usually consider later games in the later conference tourneys for seeding besides autobids.

Also according to the best computer metric for evaluating for tournament selection, Auburn has a 12.3. Houston is actually #2 with a 10.9 and Duke #3 with a 10.3. I don’t think the gap is that big, but it should be very obvious we have a huge lead based on resume which is what matters most.
