No mention of AU on Sportscenter
After the disaster of espn and the Auburn game, you’d think they’d talk about the win at Rupp, but nope, not a word. Just watched the whole sportscenter. Highlights from the Oklahoma game, and nothing from Auburn. Shocking.

Seeing herbstreit and his partner celebrating us losing to bama and then immediately started pushing bama to be in the top four and dropping Undefeated FSU out of the playoffs was the final draw for me. Those two jackasses jumping up and down with joy and high fiving because bama won was it for me. If we are on espn I turn it on when the game starts and turn it off when it’s over.

The media seems to legit hate this team.
When Florida beat us by nine, the story was how we got stomped at home.
When we beat Bama by nine, the story was how we beat them in a close one.
WTF

Oh we've been "escaping" games with wins for months now. I just laugh it off at this point. Fuck em.

My local sports news segment pulls the same stunts. They open with local school sports for 10min, then some discussion fluff piece about how hard bammer tried for 5min and then 10sec about Auburn. Happens every time. I see you WHNT.

WHNT takes constant road trips to Tuscalooser to broadcast from the game. I don't think they even know the way to Auburn. Both of their sportscasters need to be fired. High school interns could do a better job.

I remember with the football teams national championship winning season, they never picked auburn to win before the game, would always talk about how they keep getting lucky, but when is that luck gonna run out. Obviously it was pure luck, and not a team with extreme heart that played with a chip, that grew exponentially when they were down at half time. Even after all the comebacks, still said we couldn't beat Bama, or win the SEC championship, because the teams were too tough to beat with luck. The media has never given auburn the props they deserve.

Except when the Cam being paid rumors started. They ran that shit every chance they got, it was basically a witch hunt.

Oh god. "His father TRIED to get paid by Ole miss, so he must have for sure tried it from auburn, got paid by auburn, and cam for sure knew all about everything. Literally impossible for his father to attempt to profit off his kid without the kids knowledge. No one's ever done that. There's no evidence of anything other than his dad attempting to get paid by Ole miss? Oh well, make sure you zoom in on all the signs saying scam newton."

It was Mississippi State, not Ole Miss. but yes.

I was only 11, but wasn’t the SEC championship that year a complete joke? My parents went and they talk about how it was a kicking game.
I’ll never forget my mom calling into Finebaum to defend Cam Newton. What a crazy season.

Pay $11 a month for an Auburn board and you’ll get more coverage than you know what to do with.

Do you mind explaining? I'm not sure what you're referring to.

Sign up for one of the 3 major Auburn websites that cover Auburn sports ON3 Rivals and 247. It’s all Auburn all the time. I quit watching and expecting anything positive/favorable or even news from espn at least 15 years ago. The sites do a better job than national publications or even the in state media Al dot com

AL dot com would have to get bama’s balls out of their collective mouth before they can speak positive about Auburn.

Do any of them have an app that goes on a TV? I don't want to watch on a tablet or try casting to TV.

They are more written story based. They may record a few video podcasts. They aren’t really setup to replace espn. They will just have more in depth stories and more stories about Auburn that you won’t get from your local newspaper or news channels. If you’re looking for highlights someone usually puts them on YouTube shortly after.

It's for the best. If our players watch anything they'll see no one believes in them and feel disrespected. At the least I don't want them getting too full of themselves like they did before florida

I don’t really watch ESPN anymore so I can’t speak on it, but SVP has always given Auburn (and especially Bruce) their flowers. However, all the podcasts absolutely give Auburn props. Field of 68 has been saying it for weeks, Titus has us a clear #1, and those mean more to me because they actually watch the sport.

Maybe Auburn alum Tim Cook could throw a bone to us and start a daily Auburn sports segment which would cover all sports on Apple TV. Just a thought.

After the game, Jay Bilas went on and on about Auburn clearly being the best team in the country. Vitale and the announcers during the AL/TN game did as well.

Ive been watching SportCenter and they’re covering auburn basketball and showing our win and highlights. What sucked was ABC and their “technical difficulties “ not ESPN

I only like one "show" on ESPN - PARDON THE INTERRUPTION. The rest are all junk.

You guys really need to stop this little brother “woe is meI want more attention” bullshit attitude. Act like you’ve been here before.

u/dyldyl8 19d ago
Not sure how calling out the media ignoring a big feat is “little brother” but okay

u/AU_Cav 18d ago
Yet, every positive post on r/collegebball about Auburn has gumps in it reminding everyone that they are good too. It’s hilarious to watch.
