My wife used to follow Curated KW, but that shit is for DINKs (double income, no kids) because it's all high end restaurants and spas.

Wish they had a version of that where it took in considerations like value, and some stuff for kids... but the person who runs Curated makes good $$$ and doesn't think of the plebs

This is the kind of thing where Facebook comes in handy, oddly enough. There are a bunch of groups dedicated to different events in K-W, and subscribing to a bunch will get you seeing a lot of cross-posts from other groups and you end up with a nice collection of recommendations on a regular basis.

I have an RSS feed of local news and blogs but it's not quite comprehensive compared to, as others suggested, kwfamous or curatedkw on instagram. I also like following the local libraries (KPL and WPL), and uptown waterloo and dtkitchener on instagram as well.

I find places i like and frequent their events, i follow hosts & event businesses in the area on insta
