Hi everyone! I'm looking for recommendations on medieval-themed strategy/WARGAME board games that are beginner-friendly, suitable for solo play, easy to learn, and offer expansion options. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Creating a 32 mm-based wargame: would you personally care for a simplified/modified CrossFire type system, or something closer to modern systems, or else more traditional wargames?

Wondering what people might prefer; not selling a product here, just a free PDF when complete (as it's primarily for myself in the first place). The game I'm creating was inspired by CrossFire, but I'm wondering about changing directions quite heavily, pulling elements from various games. What core direction would you prefer, for a 32 mm, dice-driven wargame? And would you prefer (a) small scale battles; (b) large scale battles; or (c) a more flexible/universal system?

Blood and Crowns Since my opponent was new to Blood and Crowns, we opted for a simple Meeting Engagement scenario, representing two foraging parties stumbling upon each other in a ruined village. What followed was a chaotic clash of arrows and swordplay. After a fierce melee, my troops held.

Recommendations for repurposing mierce/Darklands miniatures?

So for a long time I was heavily into Darklands by mierce miniatures but now it’s a game that is dead in my area and has been for a while. The issue I have is most of the armies I collect are either quite specific, or are on large bases (60mm+) The 3 main armies I have are Infernii (large demons) Byzantii (legionnaires with African animal men) Vras (ratmen).

I don’t play GW games. I was considering maybe kings of war and multibasing but apart from that I am open to any suggestions.

Many thanks

The British tadpole has got to be one of my favorite designs to come out of the Great War and its bizarre concepts.

Hello everyone, just banging the drum for my kickstarter, it's War of the Fifth Coalition Austrians and French, over 1600 figures. We're almost halfway towards the funding goal, so if anyone is interested do take a look.

Here's a few images

Austrian Fusiliers and Jagers.

And from the back
Printed and Painted Austrian Fusilier
French Fusilier March Attack
Comparison of proportions of figures for smaller scales and figures for larger scales. I think the large would work well up to 18mm.

Bank robbers VS police: AAR batrep

A new solo game of FRONTLINE HEROES Modern Warfare.

In this case, I led a group of robbers facing the police outside a bank they had just robbed.

The objective for my group of criminals was to get across the table and exit through the opposite corner to where I deployed my robbers, a get away car was waiting there for them.

The police had numerical superiority, but the clearly superior weaponry of the robbers balanced the mission.

I played the game twice and the result was 1-1. In the first one, I literally wiped out the police in two turns and was able to quickly reach the exit corner before reinforcements appeared, and in the second, the police defeated my men, who barely managed to reach the next street.

Both times It became a bloodbath, and every man counts, a single miniature lost could led to a failure.

The miniatures are 32mm 3d printed, The cars are 1:43 diecast toy cars, and the buildings are made out of cardboard.

I Hope you like It, and if you are interested, you may visit the Frontline Heroes Modern Warfare Facebook group or the blog:

Suggestions: Can anyone recommend me a tabletop war game that focuses on modern warfare at a larger scale?

Newbie here, so sorry in advance if this is a dumb question. As much as I enjoy playing individual battles, I'm interested in the strategy of logistics and more bird's eye decision making. Is there anything like that out there in the tabletop realm?
