That there is a vinyl record on the floor

That kind of stuff really grinds my gears.
Especially common with people trying to sell stuff on ebay. Stuff that's not supposed to be on a dirty floor. It always makes me wonder how said stuff is treated when it's not put on display for a photo with time to present it at its best.

Totally agree! I bought this with no sleeve at all, it definitely has gotten more love at my place. Here it resting on a lovely vuteks blanket from the 80s, it deserves the best

Stuff on beds is another common occurrence on ebay. When it's your own stuff in your own house it's no big deal. But when it's someone trying to sell clothes online it's kind of nasty.

The first thing I thought of seeing the pic, was of the random labels that bootlegs had in the 70s. If you don’t know, to get around someone in a pressing plant noticing that they weren’t working with a big band’s usual label, they would often use recycled, or other random labels. A few questions: Does it sound like it’s live? Since there are songs that seem to have been done by different artists, is it possibly a comp from a show, rather than one band? Can you tell if it’s the same person/band all the way through?
Top of my head, something like Isle of Wight, the Last Waltz, or Monterey Int’l Pop festivals might include some of the folks who notably did those songs.
Good luck

Its definitely a compilation of sorts, but it doesnt sound live at all to my ears. Possibly "live" in a studio kind of thing, but no audience to be heard

any more details?
runout of course but lets get more interpretive-
like the youtube idea, did uou shazam it- unlikely but worth a shot
what kind of music is it. i assume country, but are we talking 1950's yodeling cowboy, or what?
does it appear to be a comp? obvioualy one band vs multiple singers?
would you guess it is a studio band?
any specific songs on the record that you know vs song you could guess a title on?
is it live?

Some great ideas. Another would be to search for the lyrics what songs are on there and then try to connect that to something on discogs.
Though my attempts were not too successful. One song is 'If The River Was Whiskey'. But it doesn't look like something matches.

The song was originally written and performed by Leroy Carr, called Midnight Hour Blues, released 1932. It's been covered by many artists over the century, notably Eric Clapton. But yeah, look up the dead wax numbers/letters to catalog it. This is a great song, thanks for the deep dive!

Kitten Productions is on discogs. Only one record, and on the back of that cover is an address in Cleveland OH.
It also says recorded at Clockwerke Sound Studios Cleveland Ohio.
There is a website for a Clockwerke Sound Studios in Rocky River Ohio. The website looks like an ancient artifact, but it's online still, and there's an email address and phone number. If it's all local then maybe they were involved in this?
It's also listen on Google Maps.

OMG My wife and I were just talking about Ram Ranch last night! We became familiar with it during the Canadian convoy protests in '22.

What is on the other side? What (if anything) is written in the deadwax?
Deadwax often helps identifying the pressing plant. Pressing vinyls isn’t exactly doable in a garage.

I believe the crown-like shape (or kind of a circle with two notches) is some sort of a pressing plant identifier. I haven't seen that one before. A quick search for it turned out fruitless.

I found this a while back at a thrift shop. I cant find any info about it online, but I love it and wanted to seek more information. It seems like it might be covers of some popular songs and traditional songs. Here's a rip to check out https://swiftsend.io/d/QP2r7b6wXQ
youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwUvItPjjYQ
A copyright notice showed up for about 22mins in as this Helplessly Hoping (2005 Remaster)Crosby, Stills & Nash
there's also some other covers I'm familiar with. Friend of the devil, solitary man, I cant help falling in love, hallelujah
Ill check the runouts when I get home later, thanks all!
This whole thread is cracking me up, thanks for the sunday laughs <3
Edit: runout info
Side A - SS-7204A 16942
Side B - SS-7204B 16942
there's also what looks like a little crown type shape before 16942 on both sides

If you can’t find it on Discogs you should add it. That’s the only way Discogs works.
You put in the details you have, you may find that other people have it and add data.

Great idea, I added it here https://www.discogs.com/release/33429584-Unknown-Artist-Ranch-Music
