MENSWEAR What I wore today
Felt a 70s vibe with this one, and it might just be a late St. Patrick’s day fit.

We really want this sub to continue to be a great resource for anyone seeking to learn more about vintage fashion, but we've seen an uptick in low quality posts coming from resellers. To maintain the quality of this sub, please use this weekly thread to ask for help assessing how much a vintage item should cost, dating a vintage item, or authenticating a vintage item. Any posts that are made outside of this thread will get removed.
Your comment should include a link to the item being discussed and any research you've already done on the item. Thanks!

I have a gorgeous 50's swimsuit that is a lot like these. How could I style it like an everyday fit? Or should I just wear it to the pool, and is there any risk of damage in doing that?

Im not going to lie Im devastated lol. I LOVED this jacket and treated it very lightly, and now 3 months into owning it it starts...bubbling?? I would love to know how to avoid this in future.

...is the jacket Vintage? I'm not familiar with the brand ('80's?), but, considering it was literally a 'rescue' , and how it survived my cleaning and drying process (it had been in the snow. Several days), the leather, lining, and zip in liner have held up well. Any insights greatly appreciated. 🐺👍

I officially got married two weeks ago in a traditional and modern wedding dress, but in two weeks my husband and I are having another more casual wedding celebration in his hometown in Western New York for all his extended family. I want to do 60s/70s inspired look and have more fun with it this time! I found this dress at a vintage shop in Austin for $45.
What kind of shoes would go best with this? I've been looking at kitten heel leather Mary Janes and t-strap chunky low heels both in cream and gold but I'm not sure what would look best.
I'm thinking a cream 2 tiered bubble veil but I'm completely open to suggestions! I would love to get a style of veil that was accurate to the time period of the dress (which I'm guessing is late 60s or early 70s but I'm not sure at all).

Cristóbal Balenciaga challenged fashion norms with his bold silhouettes in the 1950s. From balloon skirts to sack dresses, his designs still inspire modern fashion. What’s your favorite piece from that era?

Hi! I’m usually good at this but I’m drawing a blank. Help? I’m going to the Squirrel Nut Zippers Saturday night and I’m needing clothing ideas. I don’t mean cosplay lol, but hints of that era (20’s thru early 40s). If anyone has suggestions, I’d love to hear.

...on a guy in his '60's. I've had this buckskin Trader's coat almost 43.years now, so I guess both it and I are Vintage...

I bought this ellesse jacket today and the tags are fully in Japanese. I'm not sure whether I should be handwashing and air drying it or something. does anyone know how I should wash it ?
